Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! It’s hard to believe that there are only 29 days until Christmas and I’m excited to be back on the blog today sharing with you a vintage Christmas Card. The jumping off point for my project is the Simple Vintage Christmas Collection from Simple Stories as well as products from Ranger Ink and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to create my Merry Christmas to all & to all a good night Christmas Card. Grab a cup of your favourite Christmas beverage and I will walk you through on how you can recreate my card at home. To start, you’ll need to fussy cut six hollies from the 4×6 Vertical Elements and the 4×6 Horizontal Elements paper out of the Simple Vintage Christmas Paper Pack from Simple Stories. Ink the edges of the holly using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Next, you’ll need a doily. Cut the doily in half. From the O Christmas Tree Paper, which is out of the Simple Vintage Christmas paper pack from Simple Stories, fussy cut two pieces of holly and two leaves. Ink the edges of the holly and leaves using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Out of the Number Tags from Simple Stories, take out the Ho Ho Ho tag. Ink the edges of the tag using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Cut out the plaid card, the dear Santa border strip, the green label and the strips of paper with stitching image from the 4×6 Horizontal paper out of the Simple Vintage Christmas Paper Pack from Simple Stories. Cut the strips of paper with stitching image to 5”. Distress the edges of all of the pieces. Ink the edges of the papers using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. From the 4×6 Vertical Paper, out of the Simple Vintage Christmas Paper Pack from Simple Stories, cut out the Santa image. Distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the papers using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Cut a piece that measures 5” x 7” from the 4×6 Horizontal Elements out of the Simple Vintage Christmas Paper pack from Simple Stories. Distress the edges. Ink the edges of the papers using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Cut a piece that measures 4 3/4” x 6 3/4” and a second piece that measures 1” x 6” from the O Christmas Tree paper out of the Simple Vintage Christmas Paper pack from Simple Stories. Distress the edges. Ink the edges of the papers using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Cut a piece that measures 4 1/2” x 6 1/2” from the 4×6 Vertical Elements out of the Simple Vintage Christmas Paper pack from Simple Stories. Distress the edges. Ink the edges of the papers using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Adhere the 4 ½” patterned paper to the 4 ¾” patterned paper. Adhere the 4 ¾” patterned paper to the 5” patterned paper. Adhere the 1” green plaid strip to the left-hand side of the 4” holly card. Foam square the holly card to the right-hand side of the 4 ½” patterned paper. Foam square one half of the doily 3/8” from the top of the holly card. Foam square the other half of the doily 1/8” from the bottom of the holly card. Use adhesive and foam squares to the border strips with stitching patterned paper piece 1 7/8” from the bottom of the 4 ½” piece of patterned paper. Adhere the Ho Ho Ho Tag to the green label. Foam square the green label ½” from the left of border strips with stitching piece of paper. Foam square the Santa image 1 ¾” from the top of the 5” patterned paper piece and right against the right-hand side of the 5” patterned paper. In the bottom right-hand corner of the Santa image, foam square two small holly bunches and two leaves. In the bottom left-hand corner of the Santa image, foam square one large holly bunches and one holly leaf. In the top left-hand corner of the Santa image, foam square the remaining holly bunches and holly leaves. Cut a cardbase out of Superstock Cardstock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine that measures 7” x 10”, score at 5”. Before adhere the cardfront to the cardbase, ink the edges of the Merry Christmas to all & to all a good night sentiment out of the 4×6 Stickers from Simple Stories, using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Adhere the sentiment to the bottom left side of the Santa image. Adhere the card front to the cardbase. From the 4×6 Stickers from Simple Stories, you’ll need three banners and two labels. Ink the edges of the banners and labels using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Adhere the three banners in the top right corner of the holly card. Adhere one of the labels on the top right-hand side, just above the Santa image. To finish off your card, adhere the second label sticker to the left of the green label.
