Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! Katelyn Grosart here today. I’m thrilled to be back on the blog today sharing with you my Leave a Little Sparkle Wherever You Go Frame. This frame is perfect to add to your home décor or put in a kids room. To create my frame,  I’ve used the Mermaid Cove Collection from Creative Memories Dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs Ink from Ranger Ink and adhesives from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite winter beverage as I share with you how to recreate my frame at home.

To start, you’ll need to choose a patterned paper piece out of the Mermaid Cove Paper Pack from Creative Memories. Die cut the Happy Frame, from Elizabeth Craft Designs, four times out of the patterned paper. Adhere each die cut strip together to create four separate sides. Adhere the four sides together to create your frame. Choose a piece of patterned paper out of the Mermaid Cove Paper Pack from Creative Memories. Cut the piece of patterned paper to 7 ¾” x 7 ¾”.  Using adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, adhere the 7 ¾” square to the back of the frame.  Next, you’ll need to choose another piece of patterned paper out of the Mermaid Cove Paper Pack from Creative Memories. Using the 4 ¾” Dashing Square from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut the square out of the patterned paper. Using the 3” Dashing Rectangle from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut the rectangle out of the backside of the patterned paper. Using the 1” Stitched Fishtail Banner from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut the banner out of the backside of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the banner, square and rectangle using Shaded Lilac Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink.  You’ll need to choose another piece of patterned paper out of the Mermaid Cove Paper Pack from Creative Memories. Using the 4 ½” Dashing Rectangle from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut the rectangle out of the patterned paper. Using the 4” Dashing Square from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut the square out of the backside of the patterned paper. Using the 1” Stitched Fishtail Banner from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut the banner out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the banner, square and rectangle using Shaded Lilac Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink.  Choose another piece of patterned paper out of the Mermaid Cove Paper Pack from Creative Memories. Using the 3” Dashing Rectangle from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut the rectangle out of the patterned paper. Using the 1” Stitched Fishtails from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut the banner out of the backside of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the rectangle and banner using Shaded Lilac Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink.  You’ll need to choose another piece of patterned paper out of the Mermaid Cove Paper Pack from Creative Memories. Using the 5 ¾” Dashing Square from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut the square out of the patterned paper. Using the 1” Stitched Fishtails from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut two banners out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the banners and square using Shaded Lilac Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink.  You’ll need to choose one more piece of patterned paper out of the Mermaid Cove Paper Pack from Creative Memories. Cut the patterned paper piece to 6 ¾” x 6 ½”. Using the 1 ½” Stitched Fishtail Banner from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut the banner out of the backside of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the banner and patterned paper using Shaded Lilac Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink.  Out of the Mermaid Cove Foiled Embellishments from Creative Memories, you’ll need two starfish, the mermaid fin, sand dollar and shell. Ink the edges of the images using Shaded Lilac Distress Ink and a Blending Tool with Foam from Ranger Ink.  Out of the Mermaid Cove Variety Mat Pack from Creative Memories, you’ll need the scalloped oval, the leave a little sparkle card and the label. Fussy cut the scalloped oval and label out. Cut the scalloped oval in half. Using the 3 ¾” Dashing Rectangle from Elizabeth Craft Designs, die cut the Leave a Little Sparkle saying. Ink the edges of the oval, label and saying using Shaded Lilac Distress Ink and a Blending Tool with Foam from Ranger Ink. Using adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L, adhere the 6 ½” patterned paper piece to the 7 ¾” patterned paper piece. Adhere the 1 ½” stitched fishtail banner 1/8” from the bottom and 5/8” from the left of the 6 ½” patterned paper square.  Use foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the 4 ½” Dashing Rectangle ¼” from the top and ¼” from the left of the 6 ½” patterned paper piece. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the 1” Stitched Fishtail Banner ½” from the top and ½” from the left of the 6 ½” patterned paper. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the 4 ½” Dashing Rectangle 3/8” from the left and 1” from the top of the 6 ½” patterned paper.  Using adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L, adhere the 4 ¾” Dashing Square 7/8” from the left and 1 1/8” from the top of the 6 ½” patterned paper piece. Adhere the 1 1/8” Stitched Fishtail Banner ¾” from the left and ¾” from the bottom of the 6 ½” patterned paper piece. Adhere the 3” Dashing Rectangle 1 1/8” from the left and 1 ¼” from the left of the 6 ½” patterned paper square. Using adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L, use foam squares to adhere the scalloped oval ¾” from the left and 1 ¾” from the bottom of the 6 ½” patterned paper piece. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the 4” Dashing Square ½” from the right and 1 ½” from the top of the 6 ½” patterned paper piece. Adhere the label 1 ½” from the left and 1 1/8” from the bottom of the 6 ½” patterned paper piece.  Using adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L, adhere the 3” Dashing Rectangle ¼” from the right and 1 7/8” from the top of the 6 ½” patterned paper piece. Adhere the saying rectangle to the 3” dashing rectangle. You’ll need the bubble border sticker out of the Mermaid Cove Designer Sticker from Creative Memories. Cut the border sticker down to 6” Adhere the sticker along the bottom of the saying.  Using adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, adhere the mermaid fin to the bottom right side of the saying. In the top left-hand corner of the saying, use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the sand dollar, shell, and two starfish.  Using adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, adhere the three 1” Stitched Fishtails to a piece of twine. Adhere the banner to the top right-hand corner of the frame.  Out of the Mermaid Cove Foiled Embellishments from Creative Memories, adhere two glitter circles in the bottom right-hand corner of the 6 ½” patterned paper piece and adhere three glitter circle in the top left-hand corner by the shells.
