Happy Monday, my crafty friends! Cathy Caines here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog with some fun ways to say Thank You, Teachers!
It doesn’t take long for the days to turn to weeks and the weeks to turn to months.
In the Caines household, we are planning our summer schedules with mini vacations and day camps. Already I am thinking ahead to teacher and music thank you gifts. Music is ending within the next couple weeks so I was thinking I might as well create the teacher gifts at the same time. I learned a little while ago that gift cards are just as good a gift as anything else but I wanted to add a little special touch to personalize them instead of just toss a card at them.
Beginning with the Stampin’ Up! mini pizza boxes sizing at 3.5” squared and armed with the Label Me Pretty Bundle, I was ready to quickly put together some gift boxes without too much fuss. I am a lover of punches because it makes things easy and fast. In this project, I used three circle punches and also the Pretty Label Punch.
To embellish the boxes I used the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper and layered several trims including pool party and powder pink shimmer ribbon, whisper white baker’s twine and polka dot whisper white tulle trim. I stapled the ribbons, doily, and paper together before adhering the 3.25” square of pattern paper to the front of the boxes.
CSM TIPS AND TRICKS:// Staple. Staple. Staple. Stapling can make for easy work when adhering trims, wood veneers, and chunky embellishments.
Inside the little boxes, I took the bits of leftover paper from above and clustered them together onto another 3.25” square piece of patterned paper. Once I stapled the clustered together I stapled that on and adhered inside the box.
To finish it off, I stamped some sentiments using the Label Me Pretty stamp and played around until I was happy with the layers and colour combinations.
CSM TIPS AND TRICKS:// By picking out some limited supplies from the get-go, I found it a lot easier to create a quick craft project. This is especially useful when you aren’t feeling very crafty.
Thanks so much for dropping by today – it’s never too early to get those gifts ready- to say Thank you, Teachers. Before you know it, it will be time to say goodbye to some of those influencers in your life over the past year.
Until next month, happy stamping!
Cathy
