Hello! Kim here again with a simple Silly Goose Pocket Page layout to share. I have been tearing apart my scrapbooking space to make way for renovations [yet again!]. It’s scary what lurks in corners and drawers that you forget you ever had. I had a ton of stuff tucked into my little room that has now found temporary homes all over my house!
I have purged some things and fell back in love with older product, it has been a process. During this process I found some old American Crafts 6×12 page protectors that were divided into 3-4×6 pockets. I figured I give a pocket page a try, something I haven’t really adopted for my style of projects. I have to admit, it was really fun and stress free!I used a sheet of paper from Heartfelt Creations’ Young at Heart collection and cut 3-4×6 pieces. I layered my photos over the patterned papers using some Glue Dots permanent adhesive tape runner, then added simple embellishments.
I pulled out a couple of Stampers Anonymous stamp sets to use. Sometimes I forget to pull out my stamps to use on layouts. My brain looks at them as cardmaking supplies, but honestly, they are a FUN addition to layouts!
I used a sentiment from the collection below on my center image, it’s a quote I LOVE!
I stamped it on vellum using Ranger’s Archival Ink. I really like the subtle effect of using the vellum…it keeps the photo the focus but helps to tell the story.
The Silly Goose stamp was just too fun not to use on this little layout.
I coloured the images using some Chameleon Color Tone pens…quick and easy! I also used my Chameleon pens to write my journaling and highlight my simple title.
Will I do a pocket page again…most likely! It was a very different process, by still fun. Plus…it got me away from my reno mess and working on a project [in my temporary space AKA the dining room table]!
See you back here again soon! Until then, be sure to browse through the latest issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine.
