We Have Fire In Our Hearts Wall Hanging by Katelyn Grosart

Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! I’m excited to be back on the blog today sharing with you a fun winter wall hanging. The jumping-off point for my project is the Canadian Winter Collection from Wild Whisper Designs, dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs as well as products from Ranger Ink and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to create my We Have Fire In Our Hearts Wall Hanging. Grab a cup of your favourite winter beverage and I will walk you through on how you can recreate my wall hanging at home.

To start, you’ll need the stick paper out of the Canadian Winter Paper Pack from Wild Whisper Designs. Die cut the 4 ½” Stitched Fishtail from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of the paper. Ink the edges of the fishtail using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Next, you’ll need the hat & toque paper out of the Canadian Winter Paper Pack from Wild Whisper Designs. Die cut the 4” Stitched Fishtail from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of the paper. Die cut a 2 ½” Stitched Circle from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of the paper. Ink the edges of the fishtail and circle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Next, you’ll need the blue woodgrain paper out of the Canadian Winter Paper Pack from Wild Whisper Designs. Die cut the 3” Stitched Circle from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of the paper. Ink the edges of the circle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Take the skate paper out of the Canadian Winter Paper Pack from Wild Whisper Designs. Die cut the 3 1/2” Stitched Circle from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of the paper. Ink the edges of the circle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Out of the Canadian Winter Card Pack from Wild Whisper Designs, you’ll need the We Have Fire card. Fussy cut the circle out. Ink the edges of the circle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Choose two border strips off the bottom of two of the patterned papers out of the Canadian Winter Paper Pack from Wild Whisper Designs. Cut one of the border strips to 4 3/8”. Cut the other border strip to 4 1/8”. Ink the edges of the border strips using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Fussy cut the Maple leaf from the Cut Apart Paper out of the Canadian Winter Paper Pack from Wild Whisper Designs. Ink the edges of the maple leaf using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Next, you’ll need the Canadian Winter Ephemera from Wild Whisper Designs, take out the two hockey sticks and the skate. Fussy cut around the skate. Ink the edges of the hockey sticks and skate using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. You’ll need one 4 ¼” doily. Next, you’ll need the Canadian Winter Flair from Wild Whisper Designs, choose one of the flair. The last element you’ll need is the Canadian Winter Sequins from Wild Whisper Designs. Choose seven sequins. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the 3 ½” fishtail to the 4” fishtail. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the doily to the middle of the 3 ½” fishtail. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the 3” circle to the 3 ½” circle. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the 3 ½” circle to the middle of the doily. Use E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the 4 3/8” border strip to the left edge and 1 ½” from the bottom of the 4 ½” fishtail. Use E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the 4 1/8” border strip to the left edge and 1” from the bottom of the 4 ½” fishtail. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the maple leaf to the top right side of the 3” circle. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere We Have Fire circle to the 2 ½” circle. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the 2 ½” circle over top of the maple leaf. Use E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the two hockey sticks and the skate to the left-hand side of the We Have Fire circle. Use Dodz from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the Flair button to the left side of the skate. Use Dodz from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the seven sequins as desired on the wall hanging. To finish the wall hanging, punch two holes at the top of the 4 ½” fishtail. Tie a piece of jute twine at the top of the fishtail to create the hanging portion for the wall hanging.
