Every year I sit down for a little tag making session! I like to gift my co-workers with a little something fun to take home for Christmas and feel I must include a handmade tag as they all know I am passionate about paper crafts. I want my tags to be simple enough to make in bulk, but with enough details to show I care! I started this tag making session with some shipping tags purchased at Staples. I added a small strip of plaid paper [Echo Park Lumberjack Christmas] and then stamped the gift and branches images [Stampers Anonymous Seasonal Scribbles] with Distress Oxide ink.  I coloured and outlined the images with my Nuvo alcohol markers. I choose these markers for two reasons…I LOVE them and they will not reactivate the Distress Oxide ink! A little glitter was added to the gift image with a Nuvo glitter marker. My…

One of the greatest forms of flattery is to imitate or copy. In the world of scrapbooking or cardmaking, we are always flooding our brains with inspiration from several sources. My favourites source is Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Whether browsing between the covers of the most recent issue or scrolling through their Facebook and Instagram feeds, their shares and styles always seem to match my own. Recently on Instagram, this card by @rlbreaks was shared and I loved it! It did not take me long to try to find a way to imitate it with the supplies I had on hand. It was a simple card to recreate in multiples to meet my Valentine’s needs! So be inspired! Imitate and copy with your own twist, but ALWAYS be sure to credit your source! That way they know they have inspired, it’s a WIN-WIN! Supplies: Ranger Industries: Distress Oxide Ink & Archival…

Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! I’m excited to be back on the blog today sharing with you a fun winter wall hanging. The jumping-off point for my project is the Canadian Winter Collection from Wild Whisper Designs, dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs as well as products from Ranger Ink and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to create my We Have Fire In Our Hearts Wall Hanging. Grab a cup of your favourite winter beverage and I will walk you through on how you can recreate my wall hanging at home. To start, you’ll need the stick paper out of the Canadian Winter Paper Pack from Wild Whisper Designs. Die cut the 4 ½” Stitched Fishtail from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of the paper. Ink the edges of the fishtail using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Next, you’ll need the hat & toque paper out…

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a quick scrapbook layout I put together using Glue Dots adhesives and Wild Whisper patterned paper.  My oldest son absolutely loved to read when he was growing up, and so the book-themed ‘Add a Chapter’ patterned paper line was perfect.  Wild Whisper is a Canadian company based in Calgary. I just cut strips of the patterned paper and stuck them all together with my Glue Dots adhesives – I used the permanent glue tape to adhere paper to paper, and permanent ultra-thin dots to attach the wood veneer gear shapes.  The wood shapes came from the dollar store, and I just painted them with Ranger black gesso to make inexpensive embellishments. I also tucked in an old dictionary page under the patterned paper.  If you have old dictionary’s laying around, be sure to check out the upcoming winter issue of Creative Scrapbooker magazine for…

Hello everyone! Pam Bray here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Blog! I am sharing how easy it is to create a Friends Notebook Mini Album using Wild Whisper A Girl with Flair Nature Bliss Paper Pack and Sizzix Notebook and Passport Die. One small 6″ x 6″ pack of paper will create an 8″ page album for you, a friend or to gift as we head toward the holiday season. Cover the front of the mini album with Wild Whisper A Girl With Flair Nature Bliss Paper Pack. Love that all the distress is already done for you. Add a few scallop border strips to the front and back covers. Inside and Back Covers Adhere pattern paper and strips to inside and back covers using Xyron Creative Station with Permanent Adhesive or use your favorite adhesive. Page 1Cover each page using your favorite sides of the Wild Whisper A…

Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! Katelyn Grosart here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog.  I’m excited to be back sharing with you my pretty card perfect for an anniversary or wedding. The jumping off point for my project was the Forever & Always collection and embellishments from Wild Whisper Designs. Which I combined with some adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs,  chipboard from Southern Ridge Trading Company, embossing powder from Emerald Creek Craft Supplies, Super Stock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine and ink from Ranger, I was able to create this pretty Love Card. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite Summer beverage as I share with you how to recreate my card. Fussy cut four large flowers and ten small/medium sized flowers out of the flower paper from the Forever & Always Collection from Wild Whisper. Ink the edges of all of the flowers…

Hello again Creative Scrapbookers! It’s Kim here, I’ve been working on another Sketchy Challenge this weekend and can’t wait to share with you. I was inspired by Creative Scrapbooker Magazine’s April sketch. I stayed pretty true to the sketch, however I opted not to use circles as the design shape. Sometimes the pictures dictate how I move forward with a layout, sometimes the papers I want to use. I knew before sitting down to play with this sketch, I wanted to play with Wild Whispers “Talk Foodie To Me” collection. The colours of the collection and the whimsy of the products simply make me smile! The patterned paper I used feels grounded with the straight lines of the photos. I am in love with all the fun embellishments in this collection, check them out on my layout! I used way more embellishments than I usually might, but they all played so…

Hello and happy Tuesday! It is Jayme Loge here hoping all you Creative Scrapbookers are having a lovely morning with some signs of spring. Where I live, we’ve been buried under an endless ‘polar vortex’. While it has meant a lot of time indoors for scrapbooking I am totally craving some outdoor life! It was a good opportunity to tackle some of the photographs in my ‘to be scrapbooked’ folder. My usual process is to start with a photograph and find paper and embellishments to suit, but I had the lovely Wild Whisper Designs “Farmhouse”  paper pack that was just calling. I ended up choosing two pictures of my daughter, Avery, taken about 11 years apart! And both featured the great outdoors, so I could at least revel in the memory of it… I first scrapbooked the more recent picture. I like to wait until the school year is over…

Hey! Kim here with a quick layout share! Before our summer holidays, I got my hands on the Maritime Collection by Creative Memories. I knew I would have some Nova Scotia memories that would play perfectly with this collection of beautiful papers. The colour palette has a soft hazy vibe to it, I love it! My layout simply layers papers, journal cards, stickers and border die cuts; all from the collection. I edged my papers and embellishments with Ranger Distress Ink before adhering them down. A few Wild Whisper aqua sequins were added to the wave die cut border for some added dimension and pop of colour. My little cluster of embellishments are stickers and part of a die cut border that is part of the Maritime collection. I added a few Wild Whisper sequin leaves to give the feel of sunlight hitting the seaweed…it often shimmers in the sun!…
