Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! Katelyn Grosart here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. I’m excited to be back sharing with you my pretty card perfect for an anniversary or wedding. The jumping off point for my project was the Forever & Always collection and embellishments from Wild Whisper Designs. Which I combined with some adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs, chipboard from Southern Ridge Trading Company, embossing powder from Emerald Creek Craft Supplies, Super Stock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine and ink from Ranger, I was able to create this pretty Love Card. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite Summer beverage as I share with you how to recreate my card. Fussy cut four large flowers and ten small/medium sized flowers out of the flower paper from the Forever & Always Collection from Wild Whisper. Ink the edges of all of the flowers using Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger. Cut two border strips off the bottom of two of the patterned papers from the Forever & Always Collection from Wild Whisper. Cut one border strip down to 5 ¼”. Cut the other border strip down to 5”. Ink the edges of both border strips using Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger. Fussy cut the large diamond, succulent, label and white heart out of the cut apart paper from the Forever & Always Collection from Wild Whisper. Ink the edges of all of the fussy cut images using Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger. Next, you’ll need the heart patterned paper from the Forever & Always Collection from Wild Whisper. You’ll need to cut the paper in half at 6”. Take out the 4 ¾” Stitched Square from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Die cut the square out of the heart patterned paper. Flip the patterned paper over. Take out the 3” Stitched Circle from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Die cut the circle out of the diamond side of the patterned paper. Distress the edges of the square and circle. Ink the edges of the square and circle using Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger. Now you’ll need the grey flower patterned paper from the Forever & Always Collection from Wild Whisper. You’ll need to cut the paper in half at 6”. Take out the 5 ¼” Stitched Square from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Die cut the square out of the grey flower patterned paper. Flip the patterned paper over. Take out the 4” Stitched Circle from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Die cut the circle out of the pink side of the patterned paper. Distress the edges of the square and circle. Ink the edges of the square and circle using Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger. Die cut the 3 ½” Stitched circle from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of the white flower patterned paper from the Forever & Always Collection from Wild Whisper. Distress the edges of the circle. Ink the edges of the circle using Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger. Out of the Ephemera package from the Forever & Always Collection from Wild Whisper, you’ll need to fussy cut the grey label, white label, and love word. Distress the edges of the labels. Ink the edges of the labels using Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger. The last element you’ll need the Foliage Round Frame from Southern Ridge Trading Company. Apply a coat of Emboss It Ink from Ranger Ink over the entire surface of the frame. Sprinkle Eileen Hull’s Molten Dimensions – White Wonder from Emerald Creek Craft Supplies over the entire surface of the frame. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool. Use the E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the heart square to the grey flower square.
Use the E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the diamond circle to the white flower circle and then the white flower circle to the pink circle. Use Dodz from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the chipboard frame overtop of the circles. The frame will adhere to the pink circle. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the pink circle to the middle of the heart square. Use the E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the 5 ¼” border strip ¼” from the bottom of the grey flower square and then adhere the 5” border strip 1/8” from the bottom of the grey flower square. Use the E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the shorter grey label 1 ¾” from the bottom of the grey flower paper and 1/4” showing from underneath the heart square. Use the EZ Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the white label 5/8” from the top of the grey flower square and ½” showing from underneath the heart square. Use the EZ Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the diamond to the diamond circle, the succulent to the middle of the diamond and then the long grey label to the middle of the succulent. In the top right-hand corner of the frame, use E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere two large flowers and seven small/medium sized flowers as desired. In the bottom left-hand corner of the frame, use E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere three large flowers, five small/medium sized flowers and the white heart as desired. Use E-Z Runner adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the love word overtop of the label. To finish off your card, cut a cardbase out of Superstock cardstock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine that measures 5 ¼” x 10 ½”, score at 5 ¼”. Use E-Z Runner adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the card front to the cardbase. Here are a few closeup photos of my finished Love Card.
