Hello everyone! Kerry Engel here today on the Creative ScrapbookerMagazine blog playing with a FABULOUS new product by Therm O Web Deco Foil – Flock Transfer Sheets. I have fallen in love!

Flock Transfer Sheets used to design a 12 X 12 scrapbook layout
SUPPLIES: Therm O Web Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets, Transfer Gel and Adhesive; Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock; American Crafts Kelly Creates small brush pens; Clearsnap ColorBox Art Screens; American Crafts Studio Calico letters.

Velvet, suede-like surfaces are now so easy to create using Therm O Web Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets; it’s easy and mess-free. There are 8 different colors of flocking  to choose from. Flock Transfer Sheets by Therm O WebFlocking adds a whole new dimension and character to your paper crafting projects. It adds texture and texture therapy is why I scrapbook. Flock Transfer Sheets used with transfer gel and a stencil for a scrapbook layoutYou can cut the Flock Transfer Sheets into shapes or you can transfer the flocking to cardstock using Transfer Gel.
I applied a layer of Transfer Gel through a Clearsnap ColorBox Art Screen – this one is called ‘jumbled’.Clearsnap ColorBox Jumbled Art Screen It will take an hour or so to dry. Lay the Flock Transfer Sheet fuzzy side down on the dried paste. Place the two pieces in a folded piece of parchment paper and run it through the laminator.

After I applied the Transfer Gel I ended up with the orange flocked letters on my white Super Stock and the orange flock transfer sheet was left with the ‘negative’ pattern. I liked the reverse image design and wanted to incorporate it into my layout. I used the April 2019 sketchy challenge as inspiration for my layout.  12X12 Scrapbook Layout SketchThe jumbled alphabet art screen inspired me to pull out my jar of wooden letters. You know the jar… the one full of “X” and “Z”s. I wondered if I could apply the Therm O Web  Flock Transfer Sheets to the wood… guess what? I could. I brushed a layer of Transfer Gel on the wooden letters and let it dry. I placed the Flock Transfer Sheet on top of the letter (flocking down on dried paste)and ran it through the laminator.  Icraft Deco Foil Transfer Gel by Therm O WebI found it worked best if I ran one letter through at a time. The flocking transferred to the letters.  Flock Transfer Sheets on Wooden AlphabetTo adhere everything I used Therm O Web Deco Foil Liquid Adhesive. You need a good adhesive to stick elements to the flocking and to make sure your wooden embellishments stay put. Scrapbook layout featuring Therm O Web Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets designed by Kerry EngelThis is a super bright and fun layout. I wanted to journal with a pen that would match my vibe. Kelly Creates MultiColor Small Brush Pens | Creative Scrapbooker MagazineKelly Creates, small brush pen in ‘Sage’ was perfect. It has a fabulous nib for small lettering. The pens come in a variety of rich vibrant colors that add a lot of pizzas to your stories and journaling.

Have a wonderful day everyone!
