Every year I sit down for a little tag making session! I like to gift my co-workers with a little something fun to take home for Christmas and feel I must include a handmade tag as they all know I am passionate about paper crafts.
I want my tags to be simple enough to make in bulk, but with enough details to show I care!
I started this tag making session with some shipping tags purchased at Staples. I added a small strip of plaid paper [Echo Park Lumberjack Christmas] and then stamped the gift and branches images [Stampers Anonymous Seasonal Scribbles] with Distress Oxide ink.
I coloured and outlined the images with my Nuvo alcohol markers. I choose these markers for two reasons…I LOVE them and they will not reactivate the Distress Oxide ink! A little glitter was added to the gift image with a Nuvo glitter marker.
My little sentiment came from a Wild Whisper Designs set; I stamped several at a time, coloured and cut with an Olfa craft knife. I adhered them to the plaid with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.
A long strand of twine wrapped several times around my little gift keeps these festive tags in place!
Do you make handmade tags? I really enjoy this small scale creative outlet! Thanks for checking out my project!

Beautiful tags!
I like the sketchy designs of the stamps. And the plaid looks great with this design. Really cute
What a terrific idea to do these make ahead. I think I’m going to dedicate one craft session per month in the new year, to working on Christmas cards, gift tags and gift bags. I’m going to start with something similar to your gorgeous little tags. Very inspiring post.
