Hello, Connie Nichol here with two projects featuring the Sea Breeze collection from Heartfelt Creations. Can’t you smell the salt air right now? I had a lot of fun creating projects with this collection. It is perfect for scrapbooking maritime-themed photographs or creating beautiful sea themed cards.
Here’s the Sea Breeze paper collection – beautiful colours and graphics and there are several matching stamp and die sets that will complement the paper beautifully.
An important part of my projects is scrap cardboard that I covered with white gesso. It reminded me of the texture of the building next to the Cape Forchu lighthouse. Just save a piece of cardboard from your recycling bin (this one has particularly fine corrugations) and cover with a coat of white gesso or acrylic paint. Let dry and use as the base of your card or layout.
I built the card using the Heartfelt Creations swing fold card base shown below. You can purchase matching dies to make these cards even more intricate and beautiful or just use them as is and decorate with paper and die cuts.
Dimension is always wonderful when building scenes and adding layers of different components. I used small and large foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to accomplish this. Use your scissors and the matching dies to cut out bits and pieces from the patterned paper and create a nautical scene. I especially love the seabirds. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out this collection from Heartfelt Creations.
Supplies Used: Heartfelt Creations patterned paper, cardbase and dies, Ranger gesso, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L adhesives, Sakura black pen, American Crafts Thickers, May Arts ribbon.
Have a wonderful day everyone!
