Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! Today on the blog, I’m sharing my cute Hello World Altered Frame perfect for any baby’s nursery. To create my altered frame, I’ve used the Hello Baby It’s a Boy Collection from Echo Park Paper Co. ink from Ranger Ink, dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs and adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my altered frame at home.
To start, you’ll need the Little Wild Ones patterned paper from Echo Park Park Paper Co.. Cut a piece that measures 4” x 6”. Choose and die cut one of the medium banners off of the Planner Essentials 27 – Retro Number Trio from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Ink the edges of the banner and paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Next, you’ll need the Boy Diaper Pins patterned paper from Echo Park Park Paper Co.. Cut one piece that measures 3 ¾” x 5 ¾”. Cut a second piece that measures 2 7/8” x 3 7/8”. Ink the edges of the papers using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. From the Starry Night patterned paper from Echo Park Paper Co., you’ll need to cut two pieces. The first piece measures 3 ½” x 5 ½”. The second piece measures 3” x 4”. Die cut the same medium banner off of the Planner Essentials 27 – Retro Number Trio from Elizabeth Craft Designs that you used in step one out of the paper. Ink the edges of the banner and papers using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Next, you’ll need the Alphabet Blocks patterned paper from Echo Park Paper Co. Fussy cut three of the alphabet blocks and the “Y” circle out. Cut a piece from the patterned paper that measures 3 ¼” x 4 ¼”. Die cut the same medium banner off of the Planner Essentials 27 – Retro Number Trio from Elizabeth Craft Designs that you used in step one out of the paper. Ink the edges of the banner, paper and alphabet blocks using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. From the 3×4 Journaling Cards patterned paper from Echo Park Paper Co, you’ll need to fussy cut the balloon, mountains and giraffe label. Cut out the Baby firsts card from the same paper. Ink the edges of the fussy cut images and card using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. The last paper you need is the 4×4 Journaling Cards patterned paper from Echo Park Paper Co.. Fussy cut the mobile, tent, moon & stars and the let him be circle. Ink the edges of the fussy cut images and circle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. You’ll need a 6” x 8” frame with a 3 ¾” x 5 ¾” opening. Use E-Z Runner Grand from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere to the 3 ¾” dot paper to the 4” tree paper. Adhere the 3 ½” green paper to the 3 ¾” dot paper. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the 3” moon paper to the 3 ¼” yellow triangle paper. Flip the giraffe label over and adhere half of it to the right-hand side of the 3 ¼” triangle paper. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the 3 ¼” triangle paper ¾” from the top and all the way to the left-hand side of the dot paper. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the dot paper to the baby first card. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the baby’s first card to the moon paper. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the lion face to the backside of the let him be circle. Adhere the circle to the middle of the dot paper. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the mountains to the bottom of the dot paper. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the Hello World balloon overtop of the lion and mountains. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the layout to the inside of the frame or just place the back of the frame to the back of the layout. In the top right corner of the frame, use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the mobile. In the bottom left corner use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the “Y” circle to the corner. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the tent to the bottom left side of the frame. Use E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the alphabet blocks slightly overtop of the tent. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the moon overtop of the blocks. Use Dodz from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the stars as desired around the moon. In the top left corner, use E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the three banners as desired. Add a piece of white twine at the back top of the banners where the E-Z Runner is. Use a Dodz from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the twine ends to the back of the frame.
