I have made 2020 the year that I take the planner plunge. I have two planners going at the moment; one for every day and a Vacation scrapbook-planner for an upcoming trip. For my vacation planner,  I’m using the Elizabeth Craft Designs Champaign colored album with the powder blue inside. I like the pop of blue on the inside!

I have a confession to make. After only a few weeks of creating planner pages… I’m totally addicted! I am loving the challenge of figuring out how many different ways I can use the dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs Planner Essential line. There are pages, tags and many embellishment dies to choose from.

You can create planner pages and tags out of a lot of different materials. I came home recently with this fabulous paper shopping bag: I knew the minute I saw it that I had to reuse the map and coordinating paper in my vacation Elizabeth Craft Designs Planner.

The dies from the Planner Essential Series make it so easy to create “unique-to-you” pages, tags and design elements.

My number one tip – invest in a roll of Clear Double Sided Adhesive. The rolls come in 27 yards of 6 inches wide double-sided clear adhesive. To create pages from my shopping bag I used the tape to adhere two pieces of paper together. The tape strengthens the resulting paper and when you cut it out with the dies you get a page that is finished on both sides.

Customizing my pages.
There are so many ways to customize your planner. To create the blue flower I painted 2 swatches of cardstock with Ranger Dina Acrylic paint and simply cut it out using the die Planner Essential set #6.

I added in some fun stamps from my planner. The Be True set from Picket Fence Studios worked well just stamped in black on white paper with my busy background paper.

To help me complete my pages I am using these travel sentiments from MultiCraft Forever in Time. They coordinate perfectly with my background papers!

I’m really enjoying putting together this album and it’s really getting me in vacation mode!

To finish it off I “randomly” layered sequins by Wild Whisper.  I say “random” because there really isn’t anything random about trying to place a sequin down in just the right place – you know what I’m talking about!

I hope you have some time to do something creative today – It’s good for the soul.
