Hi Connie Nichol here today with a scrapbook layout describing one aspect of this unusual time that we are living in. I strongly encourage you to write down the details and scrapbook your experiences during the Covid 19 pandemic including shortages, social distancing and isolation. I think when we look back, we won’t remember how truly strange it was.
This is an 8.5 x 11 double page layout, not a size I typically completebut I enjoyed it greatly . It seemed so quick to fill the pages because they are smaller than the typical 12 x 12″ papers. It’s also very convenient if you want to print directly onto the scrapbook page because the paper will fit into a normal sized inkjet printer.
I used Prima Marketing Spring Farm House patterned paper and die cuts (the house and home theme seemed perfect for this project), the Brother P Touch cube label maker and put everything together with an assortment of Glue Dots adhesives.
This Brother label maker is very cool – you design your label with an app on your smart phone and then send it to the label maker to be printed via bluetooth. Here’s an example screen shot of some of the labels you can create with the app.
There’s a huge assortment of different tape cartridges you can drop into your Brother cube label maker – on this project, I’ve used a black on white self adhesive tape and a gold on white ribbon. The ribbon is not adhesive, so you can use it exactly like ribbon, or as I did here, you can stick it down on a scrapbook page with some Glue Dots permanent tape runner adhesive. The adhesive is clear so you can’t see it through the ribbon.
I used Glue Dots pop up dots to add dimension to my die cuts and adhere my paper flowers. These dots are great for permanent hold and dimension makes all the difference to a lot of embellishments.
Wishing you and your families all the best during this incredible time.

Supplies Used: Prima Marketing paper, flowers and die cuts, Glue Dots adhesives, Brother P Touch Cube label maker and sewing machine, Elizabeth Craft Designs flourish die, EK Success border punch, American Crafts Thickers, Kelly Creates black detail pen, stapler.
