What do you get when you mix Art Impressions Rubber Stamps with Simple Stories?!?!? A charming little card that makes you feel like spring! To create the card I cut a card front from a piece of pink striped patterned paper from the Simple Stories Bunnies & Bloom collection. I cut the same size card front from Ranger Simon Hurley Create Stark White cardstock. Using a Sizzix Framelits circle die, I cut out a circle window in the upper portion of both the card fronts – in the exact same spot. Using Glue Dots Adhesives Gluetape I adhered the two-card fronts together. This process made the pink stripe paper stronger so I could pop it up later. Next, cut out a piece of Prima Marketing white watercolor paper. Pop it into your Tonic Studios Tim Holtz Stamping Platform. Securing it into place. Stamp the Art Impressions floral stamp onto the…
Okay, I am seriously obsessed with the Simple Stories – Simple Cards Card Kits! They are ABSOLUTELY gorgeous and come with EVERYTHING you need to create 8 show-stopping cards! I created this card using the Simple Stories Hello Lovely Card Kit. So here is the story. As a scrapbooker, I can not send bought cards to my friends. I just can’t do it. I feel like I am cheating on my supplies LOLOLOLOLOL. And there are just times when I don’t have a card ready to go – these kits are soooooooooooooooooooooo the answer! Beautiful designs, no scissors necessary, and of course you can add your special touches if you like. All you need is adhesives. And for this card, I used Glue Dots Adhesives Pop-Up! Dots and Permanent Gluetape. Did I mention that with the kit you can make 8 different cards? You sure can! In 2-3 minutes, I…
Okay, maybe they are not HOT! But this layout designed by Kerry Engel certainly is! Do you see that clock on her layout – it is from Southern Ridge Trading Company. Kerry used the Simple Stories Vintage Great Escape collection to put this layout together. She fussy cut all those butterflies out from the patterned paper! WOWZERS! Kerry then glued everything together using Glue Dots Adhesives. This layout has me feeling like it is Tea Latte time!!!! 🙂 Kerry’s layout was published in the Winter issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Inside this issue, there is an entire section dedicated to CLOCKS!!!! CLICK HERE to get your copy today! Happy Friday everyone!
Okay, I LOVE the Carta Bella Paper Co. En Vogue collection! The soft matte muted colours, the” fashionista” images, the Paris feel, the lipstick, the purses, the dresses, and more! This collection is super playful and really easy to design with! Here is a cute little layout I put together in literally an hour! I also had some fun trying out some new pens. Zebra Sarasa Fine Felt Tip Pens. I used this pen for the journaling and some decorative lines. It was perfect! The final touch – I adhered everything together with a combination of Glue Dots Super Strength Gluetape and All-Purpose Dots to add some dimension here and there. I almost always start a layout by looking at a sketch! Here is the sketch that I based my layout on, designed by Kerry Engel. I turned the sketch on its side. Remember to do that when you are…
Do you remember paper-tole from the 80’s? It was a very fussy art form that involved layering identical prints to build a 3D pictures. I love to make dimensional cards and there is a quicker and easier way to get a suede-paper-tole look and not waste anything! How to make two 3-dimensional cards at once: leave one Therm O Web Deco Foil Toner Card Front intact. use a second Therm O Web Deco Foil Toner Card Front to cut out a large flower for a 3D flower. layer the remaining pieces of the second card to build a stunning 3D floral cluster. Foiling made easy: Therm O Web Deco Foil has partnered with Unity Stamp Co. to create an exclusive line of Toner Card Fronts. The Toner Card front is made for foiling. You can have a lot of fun changing up the foil colours but for this set, I…

Hi Connie Nichol here today with a scrapbook layout describing one aspect of this unusual time that we are living in. I strongly encourage you to write down the details and scrapbook your experiences during the Covid 19 pandemic including shortages, social distancing and isolation. I think when we look back, we won’t remember how truly strange it was. This is an 8.5 x 11 double page layout, not a size I typically completebut I enjoyed it greatly . It seemed so quick to fill the pages because they are smaller than the typical 12 x 12″ papers. It’s also very convenient if you want to print directly onto the scrapbook page because the paper will fit into a normal sized inkjet printer. I used Prima Marketing Spring Farm House patterned paper and die cuts (the house and home theme seemed perfect for this project), the Brother P Touch cube…
