Christmas cards

Hello December. The holiday season seems to be extra special and extra hard all at the same time this year. For me, I am trying my very best to zone into the holiday spirit, counting all my blessings on the way. I am also trying to connect in a more intentional manner. As such, my Christmas card list has grown. Creating Christmas cards brings me joy so bring it on! “Wherever we wander, wherever we roam, at Christmas time our hearts come home.” I found this sentiment from a retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set called “Hearts Come Home” a couple of weeks ago when I was searching for something else. It seemed like a perfect sentiment this year and as such, I plan to use it in many of my cards this year. I really enjoyed the creative process of creating this card. It features the Snow Globe Scenes Die…

Happy Holidays! Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here to share a couple of whimsical (and super easy) Christmas cards with you! You might remember that we made up the Creative Memories Holly Jolly Card Kit together during this Facebook Live on the CSM Facebook Page way back in August, and after I made them I thought I had all the cards I needed. BUT, when I saw these adorable die-cut Embellishments and fun Christmas Paper Pack from the Creative Memories Christmas Spirit Collection, I couldn’t resist playing around and creating a few more! Let me show you how to make these fun and festive cards. For the Snowman card you’ll need: a standard size card base (8.5” x 5.5”) cut from Scarlet Cardstock a piece of White Cardstock cut to 4” x 5.25” a piece of Red and Green Striped Christmas Spirit Paper cut to 4” x 5.25” Snowman, Tree, The Magic…

Hi, Connie Nichol here today with a couple of Christmas cards featuring the Christmas Carolers Art Impressions stamp set.  Where I live, the days are very short right now as we approach the winter solstice and I like to keep busy during the long evenings.  One of my favourite things to do is putz around with my craft supplies and make cards.  I often listen to an audiobook while I am crafting.  It’s a great way to multi-task if you can ‘read’ and create at the same time.  Forgive the artificial light on these photographs – as I mentioned, the days are short and it is dark when I go to work and dark when I come home. Here’s the stamp set I used.  I notice that it’s no longer available from the Art Impressions website, but you can buy it from many other retailers.  Alternatively, Art Impressions has other beautiful…

Well hello, Crafters! It’s that time of year when I try to get ahead of the holiday season. I’ve got my tree up and my house is decorated, my lengthy shopping list is dwindling thanks to some early-bird holiday sales, and I have my planner scheduled with events to make sure I visit all those I care about. But I’ve got a great reason to get things done early this year so I best try a little harder this year. I am expecting baby number 3 in late January! With most of my family taken care of, next on my list is teacher Christmas gifts. Typically, I give them a gift card along with one of my favourite things to keep things a little more personal (I gave them my favourite mascara last year). Teacher cards can often be difficult to find. As a card maker, it’s a style that…

Gnomes are HOT this holiday season! And they should be – they are smile makers! Kerry Engel was busy in her craft room playing with some Gnome themed stamps by Impression Obsession. The results are super fun! Here are the stamps that Kerry used. She fussy cut and popped up elements using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares. Here is another one of her creations. This is the sentiment Kerry stamped inside. SOOO fun!!!! I have to go grab these stamps! Thank you, Kerry, for the inspiration! Kerry is a MORNING crafter! Our design team member, Kerry Engel has been playing with the Quilted Poinsettia Frame Die by Impression Obsession and I am loving the results.  Here is one of her creations. She cut the die out onto our heavyweight Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock. The base of the card was created using some Therm O Web Gina K. Designs cardstock. Kerry Colored the quilted poinsettia frame die using Amy Tangerine watercolors by American Crafts. For the inside of the card, Kerry used another Impression Obsession die and colored it using Ranger Wendy Vecchi embossing powder. Kerry adhered everything to her card using Therm O Web iCraft Mixed Media Adhesive and Sticky Strip Runner. The results are GORGEOUS! Want to see more of Kerry’s creations?
