Happy Festive crafting season!! Today I am on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog playing with the Simple Stories Tis the Season collection! I absolutely love creating for the holiday season, from cards to home decor and of course documenting all the Holiday memories for my scrapbooks. I especially enjoy making Christmas cards, adding to my collection of all things Christmas all year long and coming up with new designs using all the gorgeous things!! When I saw the Simple Stories Tis the Season collection, it really spoke to me!! The colours & images are gorgeous…I could easily use ALL the pieces in no time at all 😉 For this project, I wanted to create some cards along with a little box perfect for gift giving. I used the Sizzix XL Bigz Die – Eileen Hull Card Caddy to create this cute little box. I then created 8 different cards from…
Cathie Allan was very busy designing projects using this Art Impressions Christmas Slimline Stamp Set. Here is a look at one of the layouts she designed. And here is a fabulous coordinating card. That snowman from the Art Impressions Christmas Slimline stamp set is absolutely delicious. WOWZA! Stunning creations Cathie! I love that Cathie used the stamp on BOTH a card and a layout. We often purchase supplies with one thing in mind and forget that there are so many possibilities and projects that it could apply to! Cathie’s projects both have a really unique aspect to them – they both include REMOVABLE tags that you can take off and hang on the Christmas tree. How stinkin’ cool is that! Both of these projects were featured in the Fall issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine in Cathie’s regular column – Cathie’s Choice.Do you have your copy yet? CLICK HERE to order…
Happy New Year! Kim here with a quick layout share! It felt so good to ‘clean up’ Christmas within my house and get back to some routine. By the end of December I have had quite enough of too much food, too much shopping, too much wine, so many events, so many to-dos…this introvert needs to cocoon a bit in January! I managed to find some time to play in my craft room last night! YAH! One thing that has become a ‘thing’ for me is to gather all my Christmas cards and scrapbook/collage bits and parts of them into a layout. It’s a great way to hold on to the sentiments, photos and fun images of the cards from friends and family. It is also a great way to upcycle them into something that will bring us smiles for years to come. It is not in my nature to…
Documenting December in 2021 was hard. When Omicron hit midway through December it felt like a crushing blow to my everything. Like many of you, I had high expectations of the pandemic being behind us so when Omicron came along, it felt so heavy, it hurt. It remains a time I don’t want to document as I immediately feel the panic and anxiety creeping back. Being a business owner, it was absolutely gut wrenching. That black cloud continued into 2022 and I still feel those weights today as we continue to claw our way out of that black hole. Needless to say, my December 2021 album did not get completed. However, my children who are now 12, 10 and 2 look at these December Daily albums every year especially to determine exactly whose turn it is to put the star on the tree. So, I feel an obligation to complete…

Its Karan Gerber with Christmas around the corner, I know you might be looking for some crafty gift ideas for that special someone. I have a Christmas Box and Mini album to share with you. This is a mini-album/Christmas box using the 6×6 paper collection called Cotton Winter from Scrapboys. This is a brand new company just recently launched out of Poland and I am proud to be on their Design Team So Scrapboys has a gorgeous winter collection that I thought would be perfect to use for this little box I found in my stash, I think its an older Melissa Frances design. The box is 6×6 with a 5×5 accordion album inside. There is a lot of fussy cutting on the cover of the box which was taken from some of the element sheets in the 12 x 12…
Hi friends! Noreen from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here with a Holiday Countdown project that can be whipped up in time for December 1st! I’ve used Creative Memories’ Merry Little Christmas papers and coordinating embellishments which boast traditional Christmas colours in fresh new patterns – perfect for this fun holiday project! Each year I like to come up with a slightly different version of an Advent Calendar or Christmas Countdown. This year I’m using a sweet little tag pocket that I first shared with other Creative Memories Advisors when I visited Australia back in September. Since then, I’ve been sharing this easy pocket as a great Make & Take, a Halloween Treat package, a Thanksgiving table decoration and now as the holder for Christmas Countdown activities. The pockets are easy to make from a 6” x 6” square of double-sided patterned paper, and I’ve created coordinating Date Circles and Insert cards for you,…
