Good Morning friends and welcome to the Creative Scrapbooker Blog today.
Its Karan Gerber with Christmas around the corner, I know you might be looking for some crafty gift ideas for that special someone.ย I have a Christmas Box and Mini album to share with you.
This is a mini-album/Christmas box using the 6×6 paper collection called Cotton Winter fromย Scrapboys.
This is a brand new company just recently launched out of Poland andย I am proud to be on their Design Team
So Scrapboys has a gorgeous winter collection that I thought would be perfect to use for this little box I found in my stash, I think its an older Melissa Frances design. The box is 6×6 with a 5×5 accordion album inside.ย
There is a lot of fussy cutting on the cover of the box which was taken from some of the element sheets in the 12 x 12 collection; Let’s get started!
For my first step, I used Hero Arts White Pigment ink and went around the edges of the box and the mini-album. And I set aside to dry. While it was drying I cut out the elements I wanted to use on the cover and inside the album I used the photo frames.ย
I used the reindeer; some of the poinsettias from this sheet, but I also cut more from this paper. ย The large pink frame, I used all the square frames for photo mats on the inside of the mini-album.
I thought it would be great to blend in some flowers and chipboard from 49 and Marketย
I love dimension and used foam tape to add extra layers on the box cover after fussy cutting out the elements I wanted to use.ย I added some snow paste from Decor Art and Art Stones from Prima to add a little extra touch on the cover.
For the inside of the album, I used a 6×6 Cotton Winter Paper pad and cut out 8 papers.ย
This collection is double-sided which makes it perfect for projects like this. I used the rest of the chipboard and flowers form the packages throughout the album but mostly on the front of this little beauty. And I added more snow paste here on the flowers and leaves, it just tones them down a bit and adds a bit of texture.
Where I didn’t use a frame I just cut white cardstock to use as a photo mat.ย I then cut them to fit the album pages approximately 4.75 x 4.75.ย I used the photo mats that I cut from the frame paper and used those throughout the album.
I cut papers to cover the inside of the box.ย ย Have fun with the fussy cut elements you can certainly add much more to the album pages and make it all your own. it’s pretty easy to do and I had this done in a few hours.ย
That completes my project for you today. I hope I have inspired you to get some holiday projects completed.
Thank you for dropping by and hope to see you soon.
