A BIG hello from Kim! Just popping in to share a quick look at some inky fun I was having, that will get added to a card base to send off to a friend!
I recently got this new Picket Fence stamp set: Beauty & Song . I love all the details and look forward to using it lots more. It’s a big stamp, so you could easily use the entire image of parts of it.
For this project, I stamped the sentiment on a piece of computer paper, cut around it and added some repositional adhesive to the back. Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L makes a great adhesive with the perfect amount of tack, that is easily removed when needed.
I positioned the sentiment to mask the area where it would eventually be permanently stamped. I stamped my main image over the mask using a stamp positioner. Using my Life Changing Blender Brushes and Q-tips I applied Distress Oxide Inks in various colours over the image, then re-stamped the image so my black detail lines where crisp again.
I lifted off my masked sentiment and stamped the sentiment in the white space left. The results look like you spent way more time than it actually takes! This would be a great time to clean up your stamps with the FABULOUS Stamp Scrubber – a must have in my humble opinion!
Happy stamping while you wait for summer to arrive! Have you seen our Summer Issue yet?
