Introducing the 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Catalouge with Cathy Caines

I am here to show you one of my favourite paper lines from the new catalogue called In Good Taste. This 24-page paper pack is filled with 12×12 patterns and prints that will co-ordinate with all your projects. Check it out!
To create this scrapbook page, I began by flipping through the patterned paper pages. This time I looked for a couple contrasting patterns that complimented each other. Once I selected my two I decided to use the darker page as the background.

I am a simple scrapbooker. I absolutely love repeating shapes and clean lines. Because I scrapbook in 8.5×11”, I cut the gray page at 8.5” and put it aside for a future page. This left me with a 12×3.5” strip. By hand, I cut them down in approximately 1.5 x 3.5” pieces. I distressed the edges of the pieces, which is why it didn’t matter if I cut by hand, with an old emery board. Using my sewing machine I adhered them with some “willy nilly stitches”.

Finally, I used the new Ornate Layers Dies to frame my series of four 2×3” photos. I embellished my page with some linen thread, gems, and die cut flaps out of the Tasteful Labels Dies. The sentiment you see poking out of the bottom is a 3×4” journal card from the World of Good Memories and More Card Packs. So much goodness.
So much inspiration.
