Hello December. The holiday season seems to be extra special and extra hard all at the same time this year. For me, I am trying my very best to zone into the holiday spirit, counting all my blessings on the way. I am also trying to connect in a more intentional manner. As such, my Christmas card list has grown. Creating Christmas cards brings me joy so bring it on! “Wherever we wander, wherever we roam, at Christmas time our hearts come home.”

I found this sentiment from a retired Stampin’ Up! stamp set called “Hearts Come Home” a couple of weeks ago when I was searching for something else. It seemed like a perfect sentiment this year and as such, I plan to use it in many of my cards this year. I really enjoyed the creative process of creating this card. It features the Snow Globe Scenes Die Set by Stampin’ Up! It’s one of those die sets where you actually could make do without the stamp. This card is a clear example of that. I love the monotonous feel of the card and the pops of sparkle. You can almost feel the weight of a snow globe in your hand when you lift it.  The Winter Snow Embossing Folder was the perfect background and set the snowy scene perfectly. My embossing machine was put to work as I mixed and matched until I found the perfect fit.

I am really excited for this holiday season. Even though I know I will miss particular traditions as well as people. I am trying to get into the mindset to finish 2020 with positivity and begin 2021 with renewed hope. Happy Holidays from my family to yours!
