Happy New Year! Kim here with a quick layout share! It felt so good to ‘clean up’ Christmas within my house and get back to some routine. By the end of December I have had quite enough of too much food, too much shopping, too much wine, so many events, so many to-dos…this introvert needs to cocoon a bit in January! I managed to find some time to play in my craft room last night! YAH! One thing that has become a ‘thing’ for me is to gather all my Christmas cards and scrapbook/collage bits and parts of them into a layout. It’s a great way to hold on to the sentiments, photos and fun images of the cards from friends and family. Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! For today’s blogpost, I’m sharing with you how to create these Be Merry & Joy Christmas Cards which uses the Mix & A-Mingle Collection from Simple Stories Super Stock Cardstock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine and adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite Christmas beverage and learn how to recreate my cards at home. To start, we will create the Joy Christmas Card first. Out of the 6×8 Mix & A-Mingle Paper Pad from Simple Stories, you’ll need the red branch paper, pink base poinsettia paper, mint dot paper, and star border paper. Cut the red branch paper to 4 ¼” x 5 ½” and a second piece that measures 1 ¼” x 4 ¼”. Cut the pink base poinsettia paper to 4” x 5 ¼”. Cut the mint dot paper to 3 3/4” x 5”. Cut the star border…

Okay – the holidays are IN THE AIR…don’t panic….BUT …. for me getting ready for all the excitement is really most of the fun!!!! I LOVE the anticipation. This year I made more Christmas cards then I ever have in my life! Usually I make one and then replicate it. This year the magic of all the Christmas products especially the Christmas themed stamps had me shopping a TON! Here is a little card I made last night. This card features Kawaii Cuties, The Holidays Are Here, stamp set by Stamp Anniething. AND the coordinating dies – cause who wants to fussy cut when there are adorable little cuties to color?Am I right?!? I created the background with this fabulous star stencil also by Stamp Anniething I blended Simon Hurley Create ink to create the background. From happy Santa to floating marshmallows and a cinnamon stir stick! Pink & Main really thought of everything with this adorable little set! Here is a card a created with the penguin mug and candy cane stir stick. SUPER DUPER cute! I also used the Pink & Main Winter Wonderland 6X6 paper pad for the patterned paper. I coloured the stamped images with my FAVOURITE Tonic Studios Nuvo watercolor pencils. But seriously, this collection had me at marshmallows! Happy Happy making Christmas cards my friends HO! HO! HO! The Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz collection for Christmas is …. well…. FABULOUS! Tim Holtz never disappoints with his vintage-like, graph-like and unique designs.
