I have been using the Elizabeth Craft Designs Planner Essential system for over a year now. I have a mix of Planner Essential Dies and Art Journal Dies, they give me endless options. Once I get started creating I find it hard to go to bed, they really push me to think creatively and their dies allow me to use up supplies in really unique ways.
For this two-page spread, I used the Celebrate Autumn Collection from Echo Park Paper Co. It’s an older collection with a fabulous colour scheme. I can’t resist teal and yellow. One of the fun items in the Echo Park Paper Co. collections is the Journaling Cards. These cards transition easily into actual pockets and tags with Elizabeth Craft Designs dies.
For this spread, I used the journaling cards in two ways. Most obviously, I used an Elizabeth Craft Designs Planner Essentials die to cut out the big “Autumn is in the air” pocket. The journal card fits perfectly into this shape. I also used the cards to cut out tags. Because I mounted photos on my tag, I could change the orientation of the design early and was able to fussy cut out the ribbon-like element. The Echo Park Paper Co. collections have many stickers and elements that allow you to stretch how you use a paper collection. I fussy cut the teal owl and colourful autumn quote from the full sheets of paper using my Tonic Studio Tim Holtz Retractable Craft Knife.
Because the Elizabeth Craft Designs Planners do not have page protectors I like to make sure that my elements very firmly adhere. I use Elizabeth Craft Designs Transparent Double-Sided adhesive to attach the elements to make sure everything stays together.
I think my favorite part of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Planner Essential collection are the Reinforcement Variety Pack Dies. I used the Echo Park Paper Co. coordinating solid in yellow and blue to create the reinforcements. My journaling was done with two different Zebra Pen pens. I used the Zebra Zensations for larger titles. And the Zebra Sarasa Fineliner pens for my finer journaling. My tags were finished off with Engelbelle hand-dyed ribbon.
Have a great day everyone and happy scrapping!
