Hello Creative Scrapbookers! It’s Jayme here with some scrapbook pages I just couldn’t wait to create once I saw the ‘Simple Vintage Coastal’ line from Simple Stories. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them! I love the soft colours and the shabby feel to the patterns- perfect for my kinda messy style! I chose these papers because of the variety of colours and patterns that suit both tropical beach experiences and holidays like mine- on the Emerald Isle. It was not a hot destination, but we spent a lot of time traveling along the Irish coastline. The blues, greens and neutrals worked perfectly for my oceanside photos. First up, I’ll share a page of a less than flattering photo of myself. I’ll own it. Our stop at the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge heritage site was not one that I chose. But democracy won and I was outvoted. Over the rickety, wobbly bridge we went. That, my friends, is the look of pure terror! But I made it, right into the waiting arms of my husband. I stuck my courage to the sticking place and ran the last few meters. I got yelled at for making extra wobbles for the people coming behind me; I feel terrible about that, but I had to get off that bridge! Thirty meters is a long way to dangle over dangerous ocean water…
Now that is out of the way, let’s move on to some happier aspects of this little adventure. My daughter seemed like she was in her element here! She loved getting right to the cliff’s edge and feeling the salt wind on her face. She happily wandered all over the island and looked like she was dancing as she crossed that bridge. She is the bomb!
Finally, a layout featuring my handsome husband and beautiful daughter. This was their choice for a stop, and even though I didn’t love it, I loved that they did! There is something for everyone, I tell you.
Thanks for looking, everyone!
