Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! For today’s blogpost, I’m sharing with you my Be Bold, Be Brave Art Journal Page.
To create my page, I’ve used a variety of products from Ranger Ink, Super Stock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine and adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my art journal at home. To start, you’ll need to choose a page from your art journal. I’m using Dina Wakley’s Art Journal from Ranger Ink and using a linen piece. Apply Carnation Acrylic Paint from Ranger Ink with a paint brush to the page as desired. I focused my colour more in the bottom right side of the page. Place the Dina Wakley Stencil – Bumps from Ranger Ink on the page.Next, you’ll need a blending tool with foam and Dina Wakley Acrylic Paint in Elephant from Ranger Ink. Using the blending tool with foam, apply the paint through the stencil as desired. I had a total of seven stenciled areas on the page. Next you’ll need the dot border stamp out of the Gals & Borders stamp set from Ranger Ink. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger Ink to the stamp and stamp randomly on the page. Reapply ink to the stamp as needed. You’ll need to stamp a total of five times. Out of the Be Willing Stamp Set from Ranger Ink, you’ll need the two leaf stamps. Apply Forest Moss Distress Ink to each stamp and stamp onto a piece of Super Stock Cardstock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Fussy cut the leaves out. Ink the edges of the leaves using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger .Make sure the Be Willing Stamp Set from Ranger Ink is still out, you’ll need the Be Brave, Be Bold quote. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger Ink to the quote and stamp onto a piece of Super Stock Cardstock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Fussy cut the quote out into four word strips. Ink the edges of all the strips using Black Soot Distress Ink and a Blending Tool with Foam from Ranger Ink. Out of the Gals & Borders Stamp Set from Ranger Ink, you’ll need the scallop stamp. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger Ink to the stamp and stamp onto a piece of Super Stock Cardstock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Colour the scallop border in using a waterbrush and Scribble Sticks from Ranger Ink. Fussy cut the scallop border out. Ink the edges of the scallop border using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Out of the Ledger Girls Stamp Set from Ranger Ink, you’ll need to choose one of the girl stamps. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink from Ranger Ink to the stamp and stamp onto a piece of Super Stock Cardstock from Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. Colour the girl in using a waterbrush and Scribble Sticks from Ranger Ink. Fussy cut the girl out. Ink the edges of the girl using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam from Ranger Ink. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the two leaves as desired on the painted portion of the page. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the scallop border slightly over top of the bottoms of the leaves as desired. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the girl overtop of part of the leaves and border as desired. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the Be Brave, Be Bold quote to the bottom right of the girl as desired. To finish the page, take a white gel pen and highlight the circles on the scallop border, the stenciled images as well as the stamped dots as desired. Here are a few closeup photos of my art journal page. Thank you for joining me today and taking the time to check out my blog post. I hope that my Be Brave, Be Bold Art Journal Page has inspired you to recreate your own at home.
