Hey Creative Scrapbooker Fans! Happy Halloween! For today’s blogpost, I’m sharing with you how to create this Boo! Wall Hanging which uses the Simple Vintage October 31st Collection from Simple Stories, Dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs, Ink from Ranger Ink and adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. You’ll want to grab a cup of your favourite Fall beverage and learn how to recreate my wall hanging at home. To start, you’ll need to choose two pieces of patterned paper out of the 6×8 Simple Vintage October 31st Paper Pad from Simple Stories. I used the white polka dots and the stars. Die cut a 4 ½” Stitched Indented Rectangle from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of the white polka dot paper. Die cut a 4” Stitched Indented Rectangle from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of the star paper. Distress the edges of both papers. Ink the edges of both papers using Black Soot Distress Ink and a Blending Tool with Foam from Ranger Ink. Next, you’ll need to choose another piece of patterned paper out of the 6×8 Simple Vintage October 31st Paper Pad from Simple Stories. I used the spider web paper. Die cut a 4 ¼” Fitted Indented Rectangle from Elizabeth Craft Designs out of the spider web paper. Distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a Blending Tool with Foam from Ranger Ink. Next, take out the patterned paper that has the October 31st 3×4 card out of the 6×8 Simple Vintage October 31st Paper Pad from Simple Stories. Cut out the 31st Card, cut the strip off the bottom of the trick or treat card and fussy cut the cat with spider web circle out. Distress the edges of all the pieces. Ink the edges of all the pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a Blending Tool with Foam from Ranger Ink. Next, take out the other 3×4 patterned paper that has the tag with pumpkin card out of the 6×8 Simple Vintage October 31st Paper Pad from Simple Stories. Fussy cut the tag with pumpkin out. Ink the edges of all the tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a Blending Tool with Foam from Ranger Ink. Take out the white circle and a large bat out of the Simple Vintage October 31st Chipboard Clusters from Simple Stories. Ink the edges of both pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a Blending Tool with Foam from Ranger Ink. Take out the black frame with owl out of the Simple Vintage October 31st Frames from Simple Stories. Ink the edges of the frame using Black Soot Distress Ink and a Blending Tool with Foam from Ranger Ink. Next, you’ll need the Simple Vintage October 31st Bits & Pieces from Simple Stories. From the package, take out the bat doily, orange word doily, Boo! two hearts, witch & pumpkin, pumpkin & cat, small pumpkin and kids in costumes holding pumpkins. Fussy cut around each image getting rid of the white outline. Ink the edges of all the pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a Blending Tool with Foam from Ranger Ink. Use EZ Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the 4 ¼” rectangle to the 4 ½” rectangle. Adhere the 4” rectangle to the 4 ¼” rectangle. Use EZ Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the white circle 5/8” over the left-hand side of the wall hanging and 7/8” from the top of the 4 ½” rectangle. Adhere the black circle to the bottom left side of the white circle as desired, a bit will hang over the white circle. Use EZ Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the border strip to the left-hand side of the October 31st card, making sure about ½” is showing. Adhere the October 31st card to the frame. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the frame ½” from the bottom and ¾” from the left of the 4 ½” rectangle. Use EZ Runner and 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the orange doily, witch & pumpkin, Boo! and two hearts as desired by the owl on the right-hand side of the frame. Use EZ Runner and 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the tag with pumpkin, kids in costumes with pumpkins, black doily, pumpkin & cat and small pumpkin as desired by the owl on the left hand side of the frame. Use EZ Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the chipboard bat to the top right side of the frame as desired. Next, you’ll need two bats off the Simple Vintage October 31st Foam Stickers from Simple Stories, adhere one below the black doily and one below the 31st. Next, you’ll need nine enamel dots out of the Simple Vintage October 31st Enamel Dots from Simple Stories, adhere them in amongst the images as desired. The last thing you need is a decorative brad out of the Simple Vintage October 31st Decorative Brads from Simple Stories, adhere it to the left of the kids with pumpkins. To finish the wall hanging, punch two holes at the top of the rectangles. Tie a piece of black twine through each hole to create the hanger portion of the wall hanging.
