I could live in a world of Octobers! I love the temperatures, colours, pumpkins and I am all over Halloween. My son is off on his own and our house doesn’t get many kids dropping by on October 31st, but I still try to fill my cup with as much of the season as I can.
We took in the Pumpkins after Dark event in Edmonton, imagine over 6000 hand carved pumpkins! It was impressive to say the least, and a fun evening to be out with my son and husband.
I knew as I pulled out my phone to take pictures that I had the PERFECT, new paper collection at home to create a scrapbook page with. Such a new collection to me that it was still in a bag and not put away!
For this fun layout I used the Simply Stated Design “Haunted Halloween” collection. Gorgeous papers and so much pumpkin ephemera! I loved it the minute I first saw it!
I added some stamped cobwebs to the main paper. They came from Stamper’s Anonymous Tim Holtz’ “Unraveled” stamp set [#CMS452].
Ranger’s Distress Oxide inks are most often my go to ink, here I used “Vintage Photo”. I also distressed the edges of the paper; this helps guide the eye into the layout.
I used a combination of adhesives from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L : E-Z Runner® Grand Permanent Strips, E-Z Runner® Grand Repositionable Dots and 3D Foam Squares.
Be sure to scrapbook those fall and Halloween tales! The energy of these fun layouts is contagious! Thanks for taking the time to check out my layout and be sure to get your hands on the Fall Issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine!
