Happy Fall!! Heather Fischer here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog to share some Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz Fall themed cards I recently created!
Fall is definitely my favourite season…I love the cooler days, the changing colours of the trees, fall decor, a hot PSL 😉 and of course, Fall themed projects!
I tend to make and send quite a few Thanksgiving cards and cards to remind people how grateful I am for them. 🙂
For these 2 cards, I used 2 different stamp sets from Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz and a couple of my favourite techniques, ink blending and heat embossing!
Both backgrounds were made using the following Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide colours; Barn Door, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Scattered Straw and some Vintage Photo blended around the edges. I love this fall colour combination!!
Here is a closer look at the first card I created – Happy Fall with a fabulous scarecrow. For the first card, I used the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz cling stamp “The Scarecrow CMS451”
Once the ink blending was dry I stamped the stalks with Vintage Photo to create a subtle background then I stamped the Scarecrow and the Bats with VersaFine Black Onyx and heat embossed with Ranger Clear Super Fine powder. The Moon was stamped with Spiced Marmalade and heat embossed with the clear powder as well. To finish off this card, I stamped the Happy Fall sentiment with Ranger Gold Super Fine embossing powder to the card panel. I then adhered the card panel it to gold cardstock then to a black card base using my Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Runner Grand.
Here is a look at the second card I created. For this second card, I used the Stampers Anonymous Tim Holtz cling stamp “Leaf Prints CMS273”.
The background was ink blended as the first card. I stamped the leaf images with VersaFine Black Onyx and heat embossed with the Clear Super Fine powder. I then used the Ranger Dina Wakley Media Gloss Spray “Gilt” and added some splatters across the panel. This is such a fabulous Gold colour!
Happy Fall was again heat embossed with the gold powder on a scrap piece then adhered to the card panel with some Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Foam Squares. Thank you so much for being here! I love to create handmade cards and share my passion!!
