Birthday Gift Tags are a fun and creative way to personalize your presents, and today designer Katelyn Spencer is here to show you how to make your own! 
These playful tags feature the Age Is Just A Number Collection and Party Time Ephemera from Simply Stated Desgin.
Along with adhesives from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. 
Grab your favourite beverage and follow along step by step to recreate these vibrant birthday tags at home.
Happy Birthday Tag
The first tag we’ll create is the Happy Birthday Tag.
- Out of the Age Is Just a Number Essentials Ephemera from Simply Stated Design, you’ll need the peeling paint tag, dot banner and happy birthday sentiment. Sand the edges of all three elements.

Next, you’ll need the Age Is Just a Number Balloons Ephemera from Simply Stated Design, choose one of the medium sized balloon bunches. I cut around the balloons to get rid of the white outline, you can either do that or leave them the way they are.
3. Out of the Age Is Just a Number The Young Ephemera from Simply Stated Design, you’ll need one of the images. I cut around the image to get rid of the white outline, you can either do that or leave them the way they are.
4. Staple the dot banner ¾” from the top and 1 5/8” from the left of the tag. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the balloons to the left side of the tag as desired, slightly over the banner. 
5. Use 3D Foam Squares and E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the image to the right of the balloons as desired. Use foam squares and adhesive to adhere the Happy Birthday sentiment ¼” from the bottom and ¼” from the right of the tag. 
6. To finish the tag, add a piece of twine through the hole at the top of the tag.
Make a Wish Tag 
Now, we’ll create the Make a Wish Tag.

Out of the Age Is Just a Number Essentials Ephemera from Simply Stated Design, you’ll need the dot tag, peeled paint skinny banner, larger abstract banner, rectangle with chevrons around the edge and Make a Wish sentiment. Sand the edges of all three elements.

Next, you’ll need the Age Is Just a Number Solid Paper Number 1 and Solid Paper Number 3 from Simply Stated Design. Cut a piece from the Solid Paper Number 1 that measures ¾” x 3 ¼”. Tear ¼” from the bottom of the paper. Cut a piece from the Solid Paper Number 2 that measures ½” x 3”. Tear ¼” from the bottom of the paper. Sand the edges of both papers.

Choose one of the animals out of the Party Time Ephemera from Simply Stated Design. I cut around the image to get rid of the white outline, you can either do that or leave them the way they are.

Staple the larger abstract banner 5/8” from the top and 1 ¾” from the right of the tag. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the red paper strip ¼” from the left and ½” from the top of the tag. Adhere the orange paper strip 1” from the left and ¾” from the top of the tag.

Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the chevron edge rectangle 1/4” from the right and 5/8” from the bottom of the tag. Use 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the animal to the middle of the tag as desired.

Trim the Make a Wish sentiment strip down. Use E-Z Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the Make a Wish sentiment to the peeled paint banner. Use E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to adhere the banner 3/8” from the bottom and ½” from the left of the tag. To finish the tag, tie a piece of twine through the hole at the top of the tag.
