I am sure by now your lives are settling back into the routine of school, work and homework. Mornings are substantially darker when the alarm goes off and the evenings are cooler. We still have a couple weeks of summer, but the signs lead us to autumn. Although I enter September with a smile; I love the cooler days and nights [23C is perfect in my world!], I am sad to see the somewhat unstructured days of summer begin to be a memory. Iβm sure itβs because I know what potential harsh winter weather is down the pipes!Β For now though I enjoy evenings spent indoors in my craft room scrapbooking, a hobby that gets very little of my time when itβs hot and humid! If the change in weather hasnβt sparked your creativityβ¦Kelley Clarkeβs craft room certainly will! Sheβs opening her drawers for us to peek inside!Β Β I…

Hello Canadian Scrapbookers!!!!!!Β It is my extreme pleasure to join you on this lovely Tuesday to share a little inspiration with you. If you know me at all from the magazine, you know me more as a writer than as a scrapbook designer, and true to my role with the magazine, I have some words to share that I hope will inspire you every bit as much as the scrapbook page that I will share with you! Hereβs the thing. I have had a self-imposed creatively dry spring and summer and have not touched my scrapbook supplies since about January.Β I am pleased to say some wonderful things have happened in that time. My family decided to build a new home and I pulled back from my work with the magazine to focus my energy there. I am a VERY messy scrapbooker and once we had our house listed I…
Happy September! Kids are back at school for most of Canada, and we pray that British Columbia can get things figured out soon for the sake of the kids! Time to grab a coffee and enjoy a peek into Corry Heinricks’ space! Lots of storage ideas waiting for you, so enjoy! After a 2 year hiatus from paper-crafting while I got my photo studio business up and running I am back in the thick of ink and paper.Β Β I spent the first month of this year doing a whole house clean sweep and that included a large purge and reorganize of my scrapbook space as well.Β Β I got rid of a lot (even though from the photos you can’t tell because I could still create for years without ever having to purchase anything but adhesive and white card stock) but what I am so happy about is sorting and…

Watercolouring is everywhere right now, and I am just drinking up all its wonder and glory. I want to show you how amazingly quick and easy these cards are!! To create this card you have three simple steps: On watercolour paper, stamp an image with Versamark and heat emboss it with white embossing powder. Apply heat with your heat gun. Stamp your block with your ink pad. Fill your aqua painter brush with water. Dip brush in ink and colour on your paper using brush strokes (see supply picture below) Use a heat gun to dry if you want but itβs not necessary. Gently wipe off any ink on your stamped image.Voila!! To up the stakes a little bit, this next card was created by inking the stamp and then misting the inked stamp with water. You can ink the stamp using markers or refill ink β whatever you prefer.…
Labour Day long-weekend is here! A busy, busy weekend for so many of us. Some of us will be away on the last vacation of the season, some of us will be hustling through the stores getting ready for school to start and some of us will get caught up in the business of this long-weekend because it is ingrained in who we are even when our kids are no longer in school. I am not sharing a specific craft room today,Β I want to give those who share with us the benefit of the most viewers! Somehow I think many of our Canadian readers might be busy with other things over the next few days!Β We have lots of Fridays coming up to share your rooms, so KEEP THEM COMING! We love to get your emails sharing your space, even more I LOVE to turn them into Blog posts to share…

August 22nd! How did we get here? Didn’t the kids just get out of school and now we’re out buying school supplies and thinking of what lunches we’ll put together all year! With 2 weekends left before school starts [for most!] get out and enjoy time with your family before September routine begins! Wondering what kind of trouble to get yourself into once the kiddos hop on the bus? Maybe it’s time to organize your creative space! Melisa Mullins shares her space this week. Lots of pictures to share! Lots of thing to store…everything certainly appears to have a home! I like to keep most of my things in plastic bins, and on my pegboards. A lot of the plastic bins are 12×12 so you can put your paper inside them. I print out labels of what it is each bin so I know where to go for what…
