Hi all! It’s Cathy Caines here to share some fun Halloween projects featuring Stampin’ Up! The ghosts and goblins have been out to play in my backyard since September began. I love to create for Halloween!!Β Β  It could be that I get giddy at the thought of candy or that I have an excuse to search Pinterest for cool costume ideas. Regardless, if you have Halloween on your mind, here areΒ some fun ideas using Stampin’ Up! products. First, you need a banner – this banner was created using the Chalkboard Banner Simply Created Kit. I used white Staz-On and stencils to create the word β€˜BOO’, as well as rubbed it around the edges. This gave it a more spooky feel but chalk would also do the trick. My daughter would say that treats are the most important thing and most definitely the priority. I couldn’t agree more. I created this…

Watercolouring is everywhere right now, and I am just drinking up all its wonder and glory. I want to show you how amazingly quick and easy these cards are!! To create this card you have three simple steps: On watercolour paper, stamp an image with Versamark and heat emboss it with white embossing powder. Apply heat with your heat gun. Stamp your block with your ink pad. Fill your aqua painter brush with water. Dip brush in ink and colour on your paper using brush strokes (see supply picture below) Use a heat gun to dry if you want but it’s not necessary. Gently wipe off any ink on your stamped image.Voila!! To up the stakes a little bit, this next card was created by inking the stamp and then misting the inked stamp with water. You can ink the stamp using markers or refill ink – whatever you prefer.…

Everyday Memories I NEED For My Lifetime! by Cathie Allan I LOVE INK …..Β  I LOVE INK .. .I β€œsimply” LOVE INK! And, YES pigment ink is one of my favorite types of ink. β€œWhy?” you ask. Beyond the fact that it is the most lightfast, most archival ink on the market … it is just so darn versatile. I can use it in so many applications that the variety of techniques that I am able to accomplish using pigment ink seems virtually endless. Do I use it for β€œsimple” stamping … yes. Do I use if for embossing …. Yes. Do I use it when I want colors to blend seamlessly … oh, yes! Do I use it for stenciling … uh, huh. Do I use it for resist … abso stamping lutely. Can I turn it’s ability for staying wet longer into a β€œsmear your art…

Recently, Stampin’ Up! has joined forces with Becky Higgins to develop an amazing Project Life by Stampin’ Up! product line. These exclusive products include items such as the 4×6, 4×4, and 3×4 cards, embellishments, alphas, stamp sets, punches, framelits and more. I am here to show you why Project Life can work for you! Many people find that the Project Life system helps them create beautiful scrapbook pages without spending hours on a single page. Although, I believe this is very true, it isn’t why I love it… I adore traditional scrapbooking because I feel like the page is my piece of art – my canvas. However, there are times when I simply have too many photos. For example, I take a huge amount of pictures during family events as I try to annoy everyone as much as humanly possible capture special moments with family and friends. These are the…

Hello everyone!Β Karen EllisΒ here! I hope you summer has started on the right foot and you are having a fun and fabulous time with the ones you love — a fun, creative time, of course! I love the summer.Β  I’m sure it’s psychological but I tend to be a little more β€œrelaxed”, find myself noticing the small things and revelling in the simplest of pleasures.Β  I also tend to be a little more adventurous…   not just the type of adventurous that would find me on the beach in a swimsuit – the creative kind – taking the time to experiment with my supplies and discovering something new about them. That’s what happened recently to me — I played with a product that’s been in my stash for years that I haven’t had the notion to pull out again until now – Ranger’s Alcohol Inks. I was inspired by a post by…

Hello Everyone! Β It’s Kelly Klapstein here today to share some stamping on a Father’s Day Card. With some wonderful Stampin’ Up! products, I made a really cute card (which my kids will probably give to their Dad! ha ha) Β These papers are actually a winter collection, but I think they work great for Father’s Day, don’t you? I used this awesome chevron border punch along the bottom of the card base. I just love this Stampin’ Up!Β Gorgeous Grunge set and used 3 of the stamps for this card. I stamped this striped piece to layer over the heart with the sentiment, which I hand wrote. I added that teeny jaw clip just because it’s so adorable! I also drew the heart on card stock and cut it out, then stamped the spattered dots on it. Behind the punched chevron border, inside the card base, I stamped these grunge lines:…

The Canadian Scrapbooker team is very excited to introduce a guest on our blog who will share monthly ideas about Stampin’ Up! products and projects. Β Please say hello and give a warm welcome to Cathy Caines from St. John’s, Newfoundland. Hi everyone! Β It’s Cathy Caines from St. John’s, Newfoundland. I am delighted to share with you my first Stampin’ Up! project for the Canadian Scrapbooker blog! As scrapbookers, we long to preserve the memories and live them over and over again. I think it’s time that we went even a little bit further to share the memories. Every time I looked at these pictures of my son, I was reminded of the video I took haphazardly on a lazy Sunday. I kept thinking to myself, how fun it would be to actually link up the video. Β And like a ton of bricks, it hit me – I could include a…

Hello everyone Christy Riopel here on the blog today! I am all about creating layers these days. Stamps are a great way to add layers without adding bulk to your page. This Magenta Crafty Secrets Swirl is one of the most used stamps I own. It so versatile that I have yet to run out of uses for it. I love how it peaks out from under my stickers. Supplies: Magenta stamps, Fancy Pants Designs patterned paper and stickers, May Arts Ribbon, gesso, Clearsnap ColorBox Chalk Ink, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L,Β  Photo by Allison Orthner Have a wonderful week everyone! Quick Note Cards Brought to you by Magenta Rubber Stamps, White Embossing Powder & Ink … lovely, lovely Clearsnap pigment Ink. by Cathie Allan Yes, I know … the word β€œquick” and β€œCathie inspired ideas” are not two things you usually see together BUT what you don’t know is I do a lot of β€œquick stamping techniques”, what I don’t usually do is put them in a blog post or put them in my magazine articles. Why … simply cause I love to give you β€œmore” for your stamping buck when you take a class from me or when you execute one of my projects that I publish.Β  I actually love making cards and here I have made β€œnotecards” that literally take me less than 10 minutes from start to finish.Β  One of my fav’s is to simply stamp an image in β€œfrost white” pigment ink and emboss with white…
