Hi everyone! Jodi Wilton here today to share with you one of my favourite Fancy Pants Designs Collections: Be Different. I couldn’t resist digging into this collection to showcase how wonderful it is to use for the little boys in your life. I am lucky enough to have several cute little “monsters” in the daycare that would suit this collection perfectly! Here is the layout I created: I love working in grid patterns lately, so I started the layout by creating a base of 6 X 6 inch squares. I then added my three photos in the centre, and finally all the fun embellishments that come with this collection! Supplies Used: Fancy Pants Designs patterned paper, stickers and die cuts, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L EZ Runner and 3D Foam Squares. Summer is almost here and that means Sunglasses…. and no one loves them more than my Ashley. I love scrapbooking day to day photos like this. I used: Simple Stories patterned paper, tags, and stickers, Sizzix stamps, dies and embossing folders, Clearsnap Surfacez inks, and Stephanie Barnard Sprays, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. I stamped the Sizzix flags onto a Simple Stories card and used the Sizzix co-ordinating dies to cut them out. I love the versatility of this set. I also used a Sizzix embossing folder on two other cards from the same pack and layered them behind my photo to create texture. I love to get as much as I can out of my supplies, so I cut up the border of the Simple Stories alpha sticker sheet into little square stickers and attached them to the page. Think Spring! Featuring BoBunny Woodland Winter and Quietfire Design Stamps In my part of Canada, we have plenty of winter, and plenty of snow, but usually the only time of year when the snow is melty enough to stick together and build a snowman is spring. It’s too bad, really, because that also usually means that the snowman will not stick around for long. The higher sun angle and warmer temperatures during this time of year typically result in his rapid disappearance into a large puddle of icy water. The snowman building process is still fun though, especially if you use delicious cookies for eyes and buttons. I found a couple of photos from when my boys were little that brought back these memories. I was inspired to scrapbook them with the April sketch from the Canadian Scrapbooker sketchy challenge and some stunning papers and embellishments from BoBunny.…
Hello everyone – Desiree Saskiw here on the blog today! This was my first crack at a mixed media project! As I dug through my supplies looking for products to use I came across the Spellbinders shapeabilites “Sweet Treats” diecut template as well as the Heartfelt Creations “Sun Kissed Fleur” custom design template. I then grabbed the matching Heartfelt Creations “Sun Kissed Collection” paper pack and set to work! I was very pleased with the flowers that I got from the die cut template and how they added great dimension to my piece. I also loved the Spellbinders lemonade cup, which gives subtle tribute to my friends innate ability to turn “lemons in to lemonade!” My friend in the photograph is soon turning 40 so I figured that instead of giving her a bunch of flowers that will wither and die, why not create a scrapbooked, lasting bouquet! Sizzix Frameworks Lattice Die Also featuring Garden Tool Sizzlits, Lil Monsters by Bo Bunny and Xyron Have you seen the new Frameworks dies from Sizzix? Designed by Tim Holtz, they were just released last month in five fabulous patterns. I am especially excited that they are the thick steel rule dies, meaning that in addition to cutting through paper, they can also easily cut through all fabric, foam, felt, wood veneer and other non-paper items, giving the frugal or mixed media scrapbooker lots of flexibility! And you can use the framework die cut itself, or the pieces cut out of the framework die (like the diamonds or hexagons) to mix and match. The Lattice Frameworks reminded of gardening, so I thought I would combine it with the Garden Tools Sizzlits that I had in my stash. I cut the tools out of a scrap piece of cardstock and then used…

You see, it’s the last one before Easter, so it lets me have an Easter theme! I have been stalking SVG sites lately and really wanted an excuse to buy one from SVGcuts. They have the most awesome collections and as I have discovered, if you take the time to open and read the pdf file that comes with the purchase, you will find the recommended height or width for each file. You have seen us play a fair amount with the Brother ScanNCut. I love that you can use the online program; ScanNCutCanvas, to upload SVG files to cut. There is a learning curve to this and any new software, but it’s pretty easy to use.…
Hello everyone! It’s Kelly here, and today I’m going to share a fun embellishment you can make for your scrapbook layouts or cards. For my newest Double the Fun sketch, I created this layout, celebrating my son’s Graduation: See those shiny silver stars? They are made using Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam shapes: 3D Foam Stars and Clearsnap foils! In the package, the 3D Foam Stars are nesting, so you get an assortment of sizes. Here is a quick photo tutorial of how you can make your own shiny stars! Designer Foil from Clearsnap will help you make your stars silver. First, remove one of the star outlines from the sheet and place on any patterned paper. I used BoBunny’s Woodland Winter collection. Hard to believe that that wee peanut is now 5’8″! Happy Tuesday everyone! Today I am sharing a layout I created using a military themed lined of products from FabScraps Materials: FabScraps patterned paper, stickers and chipboard, Clearsnap ink, Beacon 3in1 Adhesive, Dymo tape, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam squares. I wanted my layout to hint towards the military nature of the Museum we visited so I cut pennant flags from FabScraps paper and arranged them like a soldiers medals. I curled the paper with my fingers to add dimension to the page. I used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam squares to attach the flags so they will stand up from the page.
