Hi friends! Noreen Smith from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com here, sharing two layouts based on a single sketch featuring Harvest Delight and Wicked Cute collection by Creative Memories. As I mentioned last month, I create sketches to share on my own blog and YouTube Channel, but I ‘m always looking for new inspiration for my scrapbook pages. Did you know that every week, Creative Memories posts a Round-Up of sketches based on the layouts and projects shared that week on their blog? What an incredible, ongoing source for new ideas! I was itching to scrapbook as I couldn’t wait to play with the new fall and Halloween collections – Harvest Delight and Wicked Cute (just two more reasons to love fall!)… …and I wanted a fast and easy sketch that could fit three photos. I really liked this Creative Memories Sketch – I loved that it incorporated borders as part of the design…

3-in-1 May Sketchy Challenge by Kerry Engel This month’s Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Sketchy Challenge is bubbling with fun. There are so many ways to interpret this design. My daughter was home from University one weekend studying economics and finance. Her weekend was basically summed up by the fun emojis in Simple Stories Emoji Love collection. It’s a great collection for telling stories without a lot of words.Supplies: Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock, Simple Stories Emoji Love collection, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. I wanna bring back “Sticker Cards”. (Not sure “Sticker Cards” was ever really a trend but they should have been because it’s quick and dirty). After spending a bit too much time figuring out where all those emoji’s should go on this page I decided to try whipping together a quick kid-friendly card from this same collection. I have been adding all the fun paper clips from Simple Stories as…
Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a layout inspired by the March sketch from the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine sketchy gallery and products from the beautiful Simple Stories Reset Girl line. Here’s the sketch. I know I’m a month late, but hey, sketches never expire. The Sketchy Gallery has the perfect sketch for any occasion. The layout was very easy to put together. I just took pieces of patterned paper from the Reset Girl collection, rearranged them and rotated to look sort of like the March sketch and added a few stickers to finish up. I also like applying washi tape to the top and bottom of the page, it just adds a little bit of ‘extra’. Simple and done – another memory and beautiful photograph of friends is ready for the scrapbook album. Supplies Used: Simple Stories patterned paper and stickers, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L adhesive, Sakura pen. SUBSCRIBE TODAY to…
Good day Creative Scrapbookers! Jayme Loge here with a quick post of my layout based on the Creative Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge November 2016 sketch. I love using sketches to get me started, and my process generally goes like this: Choose my photo Search my stash for papers and embellishments that compliment the picture(s). Grab the sketch and go! Depending on the day, the resulting layout can be quite a bit like the sketch or nothing at all like it! The latter happened here: Supplies: Bo Bunny patterned paper, stickers and embellishments, Prima alphabet stickers. The majority of my layout was put together using the Bo Bunny Soiree collection. The tiered rectangles ended up overlapping and becoming a shabby layered background, and the sketch took a 180 degree turn! I never worry about how close my result looks compared to the sketch though. My mantra is that the sketch is…
Hi everyone, Karen Ellis here. I recently enjoyed a fantastic weekend away scrapping with my bestie. I took the opportunity to create an effortless layout based on the November Sketch with some papers I received in a goodie bag from Fancy Pants Designs. Here is the layout I created. Here is the Nov sketch I based it on. When was the last time you used our Sketchy Challenge? It’s such a great place to start the creative process. Of course we’d LOVE for you to also share to our Sketchy Gallery, to inspire others! I hope you take a minute and check out the layouts there and on Instagram (csmscrapbooker – #csmsketchygallery). Here is my take on our October Sketch featuring Magenta, Clearsnap, Sakura and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. I was totally inspired by my beautiful friend Christy Riopel, who passed away on August 21. As I created this layout using her techniques and tips and tricks – I found a little bit of healing. Through the tears many many many wonderful memories emerged – thank you Christy for so much. I miss you like crazy. SUPPLIES: Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock, Core’dinations ColorCore cardstock, Canson Mixed Media paper, Clearsnap Stephanie Barnard sprays and dye ink, Clearsnap ColorBox stylus and white foam tips, Magenta stamps and stencils, Sakura Expressionist oil pastel black crayon and pen, Imagine Crafts irRESISTible Pico Embellisher, unknown black paint, gesso, chipboard alphabet and tissue paper, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. I had lots of fun spraying my Clearsnap Stephanie Barnard sprays to create the…
Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a fall layout featuring some gorgeous Momenta textured cardstock that has a dreamy water colour look. The cardstock comes in an 8×8 paper pad with three sheets of each design. The colours will go with almost everything. I put two of the 8×8 cardstock sheets in opposite corners on a sheet of 12×12 cardstock and then filled in the corners with some shimmery Art-C paint and a self adhesive stencil. Because hey, who doesn’t like to play with shimmery paint? This stuff is gorgeous. And the colour stops my heart. I filled in what was left of the gap between the stenciled paint and the cardstock with a piece of May Arts gingham ribbon, and then mounted my photograph. (P.S. By the way, especially for Canadians, I had this 8×8 photo enlargement printed at www.blacks.ca for 99 cents on a sale last month. I am super…
