Hello everyone!  Kelly Klapstein here to share my layout based on the November Sketchy challenge. Here is the November sketch: This Fall has been so beautiful in Alberta, and I snapped so many photos of the amazing golden colours of trees.  I just had to scrap them! The paper collection and leaf die cuts are from Momenta. I used my Sizzix Big Shot to die cut and emboss these pretty leaves. I used Tombow Dual Brush pens to hand letter the title “The Golden Hours” and write the journaling. I also used the Tombow pens to create a watercolour effect on the background, which is Canadian Scrapbooker Superstock. Click HERE to shop for this awesome cardstock…which is super heavy weight and great for all projects. I used some Stampin’ Up! stamps and Clearsnap ColorBox Frost White pigment ink to add a distressed effect to the outer edges of the paper. My…

Hostess gifts, thank yous, wine…. it’s all good! Hello everyone – Karen Ellis Here! I’ve been busy wrapping up a big fundraiser for our local sea cadet corp – a wine taste & buy!   Yummy, right?    All the wine is ready to be delivered and I am just getting my bottle tags ready to identify their new owners.  wink I love how these turned out and wanted to share them with you!   I thought they’d be FABULOUS for those of you who take a bottle of wine as hostess gifts during the holiday season.   I made my Bottle Tags a wine theme but they could just as easily be created with a Christmas or Hanukkah theme as well! The bottle tags were made using my Brother ScanNCut machine. I found a template online and created a cut file for them in Brother ScanNCut Canvas (scanncutcanvas.brother.com – feel free to email…

Hi Everyone!  It’s Kelly Klapstein here today to share my layout based on the September Sketchy Challenge. Here is my sketch: I used the gorgeous Kaisercraft collection “Botanica.” Actually, these products were in my September kit from ScrapShotz. With this Kaisercraft stamp set and  “Avocado” ink, I added a subtle pattern of leaves to the solid green paper layers. When you stamp several times or ‘values’ without reloading with ink, you can create your own patterned paper (learned from the great ink queen herself, Cathie Allan!) The leaves are cut with my Brother ScanNCut machine After cutting them from mixed media paper, I watercoloured them with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens. I also used my Tombow pens for hand lettering  my title “Hello.” Here is a video on my YouTube channel that shows how I created the watercolour leaves. https://youtu.be/Yhj_8jnlzHM I would love to see what you create with my…
