If you love stamping, then you probably love Quietfire Design products! These beautiful calligraphy stamps and hand-drawn images look gorgeous on cards, scrapbook layouts, and other paper crafts. Quietfire Design also offers a selection of wonderful dies in the calligraphy style. Today Kelly Klapstein’s Graduation layout is on the Quietfire Design blog featuring the stamp set “Butterfly Circles, May the Wings.” Click HERE to visit their blog now and learn more about this page design. Kelly used the FabScraps paper collection “Tranquility.” The circles, diecut element, and gold border were all cut using the Brother ScanNCut machine from Core’dinations  Adhesive glitter paper and Canson Watercolour paper. The ScanNCut can scan the stamped images and cut a shape around them. The Core’dinations glitter paper is 12″ x 24″ … and works beautifully with electronic cutting machines. This is the perfect glitter paper for home decor, papercrafting and a DIY party! The…

Hello everyone!  It’s Kelly Klapstein here today to share a layout I designed using the August Sketch and Creative Memories. Have you heard that Creative Memories has returned to the crafting industry? I know there are many of you who are thrilled about this news! I thought that their papers would be perfect to scrapbook some photos of icebergs I took while visiting Newfoundland in July.  Thanks to my friend, Michelle Marks, we went “Iceberg Hunting” and found these beauties!  I was in AWE. I used a couple of paper packs from Creative Memories: Neutral and Vintage. I thought the combination of blues and greys worked well for my iceberg themed page. I created the diamond pattern background layer with my Brother ScanNCut machine, cut it from watercolour paper, and then painted it in ombre blue shades with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens. If you  haven’t tried these Tombow…

Hi, it’s Connie Nichol here today with a layout inspired by the July sketch in the Canadian Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge.  It was a great opportunity to play with some new Sizzix dies.  The Bird Crazy Framelits shown below are designed to match the Stampers Anonymous cling mount Bird Crazy stamps and they cut right up to the stamped image.  You can layer wings, beaks and eyes if you are so inclined, and have a lot of fun.  These little birdies are the cutest things ever!  I coloured in the stamped images with Chameleon pens.  Love being able to get a variety of shades of colour from one pen. For the background of the page, I used a 6×6 pad of Core’dinations Kraft-Core cardstock and used another new Sizzix die to cut out some really cool designs.  So many possiblities with these Sizzix thinlit dies…..   I cut the title out of Elmer’s…

Hello everyone!  It’s Kelly Klapstein here today to share a quick and easy technique you can use with your stamped images. It all started with some Tombow Dual Brush pens and a really pretty Impression Obsession stamp. I used a Clearsnap black pigment ink and stamped onto Canadian Scrapbooker superstock, which is a nice heavy weight to stand up to this wet technique. Then I slowed right down and coloured in the lines. After making a Mother’s Day card with this pretty coloured image, I decided to try something different. I thought, hey, let’s try a watercolour effect because these wonderful Tombow pens are water based and blendable. So I basically scribbled colours all over this stamped image, not worrying about staying in the lines and then spritzed it all over with water. And it’s that easy! Just let dry or use your heat gun to speed up the process. I made…

There was something extra special about the Brother™ booth at the Craft & Hobby show this year when we went to visit.  As you know, the Brother ScanNCut electronic cutting machine debuted last year at CHA…it is the first machine that scans images and cuts as well. One of their displays was a Spring Garden Party ‘tablescape’….designed by me 🙂 I designed and cut this tablecloth and napkins with Kelly Panacci’s new fabric from Riley Blake Designs Ltd.  The butterflies are iron-on material from Brother.  There is a wide assortment of colours and types of heat-applied materials, such as glitter and holographic. The white doily is cut from vinyl and applied to a clear plastic plate.  The placemats, napkin rings, gift boxes and butterfly garland are all cut from Bazzill cardstock.  Can you see that daisy name sticker on the pink gift box?  The ScanNCut also has sticker kits available. There is a new…
