Hi, it’s Connie Nichol here today with a layout inspired by the July sketch in the Canadian Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge.
It was a great opportunity to play with some new Sizzix dies. The Bird Crazy Framelits shown below are designed to match the Stampers Anonymous cling mount Bird Crazy stamps and they cut right up to the stamped image. You can layer wings, beaks and eyes if you are so inclined, and have a lot of fun. These little birdies are the cutest things ever!
I coloured in the stamped images with Chameleon pens. Love being able to get a variety of shades of colour from one pen.
For the background of the page, I used a 6×6 pad of Core’dinations Kraft-Core cardstock and used another new Sizzix die to cut out some really cool designs. So many possiblities with these Sizzix thinlit dies…..
I cut the title out of Elmer’s white craft foam using another Sizzix die. Because this is a thick die, I can cut foam, cork, fabric, wood veneer, whatever and never run out of letters.
As a little extra embellishment, I found a perfect Magenta stamp in my stash to add to the layout.
Layout Supplies: Core’dinations ColorCore cardstock and tag, Sizzix dies and Big Shot die cutting machine, Magenta stamp, Clearsnap ink, Brother sewing machine, May Arts ribbon, Stampers Anonymous stamps, Chameleon pens, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L tape runner and black photo corners.
Happy Scrappin!
