Hi, it’s Connie Nichol here today with a layout inspired by the July sketch in the Canadian Scrapbooker Sketchy Challenge. It was a great opportunity to play with some new Sizzix dies. The Bird Crazy Framelits shown below are designed to match the Stampers Anonymous cling mount Bird Crazy stamps and they cut right up to the stamped image. You can layer wings, beaks and eyes if you are so inclined, and have a lot of fun. These little birdies are the cutest things ever! I coloured in the stamped images with Chameleon pens. Love being able to get a variety of shades of colour from one pen. For the background of the page, I used a 6×6 pad of Core’dinations Kraft-Core cardstock and used another new Sizzix die to cut out some really cool designs. Chameleon Pens and Colouring Books! By Karen Ellis Okay, it’s official. I am stating for the record that I, Karen Ellis, love to colour! I have jumped on the adult colouring book band wagon and have come to appreciate the zen time it offers. Combine those books and Chameleon Pens… Oh yes!! I’m in heaven. If you haven’t tried Chameleon Pens yet, I invite you to do so. They are alcohol based pens (like Copic and Spectrum Noir) which allows great blend ability, but what makes these pens special is the built in charger that allows you to change the saturation of the pen ink while colouring. Brilliant! Instant highlights, gradation, and shadowing! I love “hopping” the colour, and creating colour gradations with my Chameleon Pens to create depth and highlights but I wanted to show you here how I used the pens to change the colour’s tone to expand…
Hello everyone! It’s Kelly Klapstein here today with an easy watercolour technique you can use on a card or other crafty project. I created this card with a beautiful Magenta stamp, Chameleon Pens, and a Sizzix embossing folder using Canadian Scrapbooker Superstock paper. First, I inked up my Magenta stamp with Clearsnap Colorbox white pigment ink, and stamped and heat embossed onto white Superstock. I wanted a white outline background to colour in. Magenta rubber stamps have gorgeous, intricate details that show up perfectly when stamped! To create a watercolour effect, I took out my set of Chameleon Pens. These alcohol ink pens are amazing! You have all shades or tones of colour in a single pen. So for the yellow petals, I coloured in gradations of yellow because the Chameleon pen allows you to add toner to the pen nib with a couple of easy steps. There’s a LOT…
