Plaid Mod Podge has truly been around since the beginning of time! Okay maybe not the beginning but they are celebrating Mod Podge’s 50th Anniversary! I remember using Mod Podge when I was at Whitney Lake camp in grade 4. The art teacher brought in this huge container and we all poured it into little styrofoam bowls and dipped those big long wooden paintbrushes into it. The project back then was most definitely a balloon covered in string smothered in Mod Podge to create paper mache. Good times! The Products Not much has changed today. Plaid continues to make Mod Podge products that maintain a high quality crafting standard. The number of products with the Mod Podge name has definitely increased through out the years – they are no longer only known for their water based sealer, glue and finishes. Now you can purchase everything from foam brushes, molds, spray…
Hi everyone! Noreen Smith here, and I’m so happy to be back on the Creative Scrapbooker blog today sharing a couple of projects made with Creative Memories’ new school-themed Bookworm Collection! A Peek at the Bookworm Collection I’m sure I say this every year, but where has the summer gone? It’s hard to believe that it’s the middle of August and my kids will be starting school in just a couple of weeks! But, I must admit that Back-to-School is one of my favorite times of the year. I love thinking about the possibilities of the year ahead, buying fun new stationary supplies and enjoying the hint of fall leaves in the air. As I’ve been getting ready for the new school year, I just had to stop to reflect on past school years and create a quick layout and teacher gift with CM’s cute new products! For the…
Have you visited The Stamps of Life by Stephanie Barnard website lately? You truly need to – especially if you are a stamper. This fantastic company features high quality stamps, ink pads and dies for stampers, card makers, scrapbookers, art journalers etc etc. Education One of things that really sparks my creative juices that this company does is their education program. As you click on a project you are interest in, located right in their store, underneath the project a video will often be presented on how they created the card or the products in action. These videos are called Stephanie’s Stamp Pad How-to Video. In this example Stephanie is putting together this super cute birthday card. Here is the video class located right under the project on their website. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YVkDm_aEio After the video there are links to all the products used to create the card. Hello everyone – Vicki Wizniuk here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Today I am sharing a layout I created using the brand new Basics Fundamentals papers from Close to My Heart! This summer I got to meet some cousins for the first time, so that was pretty awesome! I wanted to document that special moment in my life, and I created this layout to do just that. I am loving the new CTMH Heart Border Thin Cuts, which comes with two different metal die borders. I cut the hearts out from the Basic Fundamentals paper. It added the perfect little detail to my layout.I also used the new CTMH Family Thin Cuts die, along with White Glitter Paper for the title. The embellishments I used on my layout are the new Better Together Complements, and White Pearls. You definitely need to pick up the Basic Fundamentals collection from Close To My…

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a layout that features some adorably funny Art Impressions stamps. These stamps always brings a huge smile to my face. Although I’m sure they are most often used to make cards, why not use them to embellish a scrapbook layout? I had the perfect photograph to go with a stamp of three friends drinking wine! Stamps Used Here’s the Art Impressions stamp sets I used. I had two sets of funny wine stamps in my stash and I wanted to use them both. I stamped and coloured the ladies from the Girlfriends set with markers, then stamped some of the funny wine expressions, cutting each of them out and backing with black cardstock. Paper Products Used The paper and stickers I used are from the Be Happy 12 x 12 paper pad from Paper House Productions. Such beautiful patterns and these soft pink and…
At the end of every single paper crafting project you will most certainly find adhesives and yet it is one of the most over looked tools in the industry. Finding the right glue for your projects is just as, if not more important, than choosing colours and design. If it doesn’t stick, your projects fall apart – giggle giggle.
