This gorgeous layout designed by Heather Fischer featuring the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Berry Fields collection stopped me in my tracks! I absolutely LOVE the Digital Cut File that Heather used from Jennifer Edwardson Creative Inc. It coordinates with the Berry Fields collection PERFECTLY!Β  The vellum backing of the jar is such a fabulous effect! Here is a look at the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Berry Fields collection. Its filled with berries and roosters and jars and soft muted tones! So many possibilities with this collection. Heather also used elements from the Bits & Pieces set of this collection to embellish here and there. The ephemera in these packages are worth their weight in gold! Thanks so much for sharing your layout withΒ  us Heather. Happy Friday Friends Subscribe today to Creative Scrapbooker Magazine – We want to be your HAPPY MAIL!

Did you know that Alison Jones from Creative Geek Design creates FREE files for ALL our Creative Scrapbooker Magazine followers?Β  She sure does!Β  CLICK HERE to see all the amazing files you can download TODAY for FREE! This month Alison designed thisΒ  file JUST FOR YOU! Here is the project she created using the SVG FILE. GORGEOUS! AND here are some notes from Alison on how she created it. “I used the individual SVG files to make a border in Adobe Illustrator. I actually tried it horizontal at first but decided finally on vertical. Then I printed it on a wide format printer along with my title. I also cut out a couple of the pieces (snowflake and star) to use as embellishments. I started with 4 photos (2x2in.) matted on a 5x5in piece of patterned paper. When I had matted them and laid them out, it occurred to me…

Hello festive crafty friends! Tracy McLennon here and today I have a holiday themed layout to share featuring a fabulous cut file designed by Creative Geek Design (CLICK HERE to download). Along with my Brother ScanNCut! AND the Simple Stories Simple Vintage North Pole Collection. I love how this fun layout turned out! First I created a simple layered background using patterned paper, grey and white cardstock. I then converted my cut file for my and cut it at about 11” from white cardstock. I used patterned paper, kraft cardstock and Luxe Gold Cardstock to fill the sections of the cut file. Then adhered all of the pieces using the Dual Tip Glue Pen. Adhere the wreath to the layered background. Then mat the 4×6 photo in white cardstock and add gold photo corners. Cut a couple of smaller pieces of coordinating patterned paper. Adhere these 3 pieces to the…

Fall is here. I am not sure why but I love to feel the crisp air and see the harvest wreathes on the doors in our neighbourhood. Perhaps it represents some new beginnings or maybe it’s because there can never be too many pumpkins. It’s a time of year that I find refreshing. Like many families, we have a tradition to visit our local pumpkin patch for some photos sitting on haystacks surrounded by orange β€œballs” as my one year old exclaims this year! Today’s layout was inspired by Traci Reed Design’s (TRD) free digital cut file, Stacked Pumpkins. I’ve recently moved my Silhouette die cutting machine from under my desk to the top. This made it easy to download and have it cut out when inspiration hit. It couldn’t have been a more perfect fit for these photos. Using the digital patterned papers by Traci Reed called Hocus Pocus,…

Hi everyone! Noreen SmithΒ  here from OrganizedandCreativeMom.com with a layout using the super fun summer themed Sun-Kissed Papers, Embellishments & Stickers, the new embossed Tropical Leaf Punch, and some sunshine-y Cut Files that I created and want to share with you today!Creative Memories’ Sun-Kissed Collection was inspired by the cool art-deco vibe of Miami’s South Beach and features colors and imagery that will work well with any tropical vacation, zoo, beach, pool or outdoor photos! Besides the paper, stickers and embellishments Iβ€˜m showing you today, the collection also includes a gorgeous Turquoise foiled Album Cover and pre-designed Fast 2 Fab Album Pages. I had fun combining the papers with some recent photos of my older son enjoying the much-anticipated spring weather!Β In one photo he was sitting with his face turned towards the warm spring sunshine and it reminded me of the Walt Whitman quote – β€œKeep your face always towards…

Hi there!Β  Nathalie DeSousa with you today sharing my first blog post as part of the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine team. I am very humbled and excited to share a bit of my work with you all, so what better way to show you my style than to create a 12×12 scrapbook page that combines a bit of mixed media and the beautiful Bliss Collection from Simple Stories. All those beautiful and soft colors in the collection are perfect to document spring and new beginnings, so I pulled a cut file from the Silhouette library, and backed it with papers from the collection. To add dimension to this page, some Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares were used to attach the cut out to the background.Β  Β Β A bit of distressing on the top edge of the page provided the perfect place to add a small cluster of embellishments. Some of the floral motifs…

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a summer layout featuring digital cut files and a stamp from Quietfire Design. Β  Β A few years ago my boys decided to canoe (i.e. float) down the North Saskatchewan River. Β They launched in Edmonton, and I was instructed to pick them up downstream in three hours time. Β Unfortunately, the river was quite low and the current slow, and it took a lot longer than the predicted three hours. Β Of course, my husband had no cell phone with him so I had no idea where the canoe was. Β I waited and I waited and they finally showed up…… phew. Β They have never repeated that particular adventure. I love the versatility of having an electronic die cutting machine. Β It’s amazing. Β Need a canoe to embellish a canoeing layout? Β Presto, wave the magic wand and cut a canoe, paddles and water with your Sizzix Eclips 2. Β Any…

Did you know we started offering FREE cut files this summer? Sue Sykes designed these fabulous cut files for our readers. They can be cut with many die cutting machines on the market that are able to cut using an SVG or Studio file. I thought we should share them again and encourage you to use them! These fun designs will be great for summer fun and winter getaways! I played with Sue’s third cut file, an inspirational quote that spoke perfect words to my graduating son’s picture. I played with the file a bit to change to word sizes and placement. I believe most programs will let you do this. It took some ungrouping and regrouping of letters, but very doable! I hope you take the time to download these wonderful files, they are yours to download and use for FREE! SUPPLIES: Canadian Scrapbooker Super Stock, Kaisercraft patterned paper,…
