When to stop and when not to? by Christy Riopel January always makes me a little introspective and I tend to scrapbook more interpersonal stuff this time of year. I created this layout about dealing with the old(er) girl in the mirror these days. It ended up being an exploration in not just one hard question ( when did I get this old?) but in another unrelated question I often face….. When do I stop? When is enough on a layout? Hello Everyone! It’s Kelly here today to share with you a Christmas card I designed using beautiful FabScraps papers. Have you made any cards this year? I don’t know how it’s already December, and I have been trying to finish off a few more cards. The hanging ornaments are FabScraps chipboard that I altered with a FabScraps stencil and Viva Décor Ferro, which is like a grainy molding paste with a metallic finish. I first painted the chipboard ornaments with white gesso. Then I used this FabScraps stencil and applied the Viva Décor Ferro with a palette knife. When you lift off the stencil, you see a really cool 3D metallic pattern. Just let dry for a few minutes. It dries very quickly! Using May Arts ribbon, I finished off the ornaments and card. One of my favourite things is truly a scrapbook layout about anything CANADIAN! I sincerely have a soft spot for this beautiful country I call home.
