Hey everyone! Kim here with a fun little product share! When we were at Creativation, with the Creative Scrapbooker Team, in January, we saw this neat flower making tool called Fablossom. This product was being demonstrated with fabric and my first thought was โ€˜I wonder if it would easily work with paper?โ€, a few steps down their booth they had the paper version! SWEET! The kit itself comes with everything you need to make plenty of different flowers, The instructions are very easy to follow, once you get a handle of the paper folding you are good to go! They include lots of all parts required to put the flower together, as well as a punch to create your own centers! I immediately thought of all the paper I have on hand at any given time and figured I can cut circles to make this work with my own product!…

The newest collection “Flowering Dogwood” is so beautiful! It can be used for Easter themed projects and more. Hello Everyone!ย  I have been having a lot of fun lately with the new Tim Holtz Distress Crayons from Ranger. You might know that I’ve been slightly obsessed with watercolour and creating watercolour effects with different products.ย  So I used the Distress Crayons to design this Mother’s Day card. Here are the Tim Holtz (Ranger) supplies I started with to create the stamped flowers: Distress Watercolor Cardstock, Waterbrush, Collage Brush, Distress Collage Medium, the Distress Crayon (Seedless Preserves). I brushed the Distress Collage Medium on the Distress Watercolor paper using the Collage Brush.ย  Just remember to clean your brush well right after and don’t let the medium dry on it. Let the medium on the paper dry completely and then scribble some distress crayon colour onto it. Why did I add the medium first? I find the Distress Crayons move better and dissolve into a watercolour more easily, but…

Entering the Heartfelt Creations booth at CHA is like walking into a flower garden! The newest release is “Sugar Hollow” featuring the cutest little owl. As per other Heartfelt Creations collections, Sugar Hollow products include paper packs, stamps and die sets. The projects on display for Sugar Hollow were so sweet. There was a sneak peek of the new upcoming February release called Sunrise Lily. Stunning! There were so many gorgeous projects from various collections, including the current popular line “Coffee Talk.” The “All Glammed Up” collection looks fabulous on display. Every shelf in the booth was filled with stunning paper crafts created with both current and older collections. The 3D Flip Fold Album is perfect for the scrapbooker who loves mini albums with lots of pockets and interaction. Today we welcome Barb Brookbank, an Albertan photographer who elevates her photos into works of art! Hi! Iโ€™m Barb Brookbank, and Iโ€™m thrilled to be a guest blogger at Canadian Scrapbooker. Iโ€™m a wife, mom, and grandma, living in the beautiful province of Alberta. Iโ€™m the blogger behind Keeping With the Times where I share my love of food, photography, and life. You can also find me on Instagram @keepingwiththetimes. I started scrapbooking in 2003 after my first grandson was born and scrapped traditionally for many years. It was a great fit since I had been making greeting cards and loved working with paper and glue. However, life changes and evolves, and I became interested in digital scrapping after purchasing a copy of Photoshop Elements 4. The box included โ€œLearn Digital Scrapbookingโ€ by Linda Sattgast of Digital Scrapper. Learning Photoshop took time, and a lot of work, but when it…

Hello everyone!ย  It’s Kelly Klapstein here to share with you my new double layout sketch and design for the Winter 2015 page call!ย  Don’t hate me for saying the word, “Winter!” ha ha I fell in love with the new BoBunny “Sweet Life” collection and knewย it would look perfect with some photos of my youngest daughter. I fussy cut some of theย beautiful flowers and butterflies from the Bobunny patterned paper as embellishments. Those otherย pretty flowers are Bobunny too, but I felt they were a little too dark for my layout, so I took out some Clearsnap Colorbox Chalk ink in a white colour called “Popcorn”ย and altered theย dark redย flowersย so they were lighter.ย The gold pearls in the flower centres are BoBunny Jewels. See those pretty doilies tucked behind my photos? I used the BoBunny Lace Stickable Stencil and Pastel Pink Colorbox Chalk ink to make them! I had never used these…

Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper If I won the lottery I would do three things: Get a live-in cook or at least go out to extravagant restaurants on a regular basis…or both. Hire a personal photographer to document the events in our lives Buy fresh flowers for multiple rooms in my home every week So, youโ€™d think that if I would do #3, then I must love flowers in paper crafts. Not so. In fact, I cringe at the thought of a flower on my pageโ€ฆ even worse a butterfly. Yetโ€ฆ here I am. The minute I opened my Stampinโ€™ Up! box, I went down in my craft room to see what the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper what all about. Maybe itโ€™s because spring is never coming here in Newfoundland.ย ย  I am pretty sure we are skipping summer all together. Sure, spring came just last week when it was…

Walking into the Heartfelt Creations booth at the Craft & Hobby Tradeshow is like walking into springtime! Flowers, flowers everywhere! We always are eager to see all the incredible projects on display in this booth! There are 2 newย stunningย collections…Butterfly Medley… …and Birds and Blooms. There are beautiful stamps and dies to accompany both collections. Love this packaging!ย  The plastic envelope easily slides in and out of the cardboard cover with an opening at the top….no ripping or tearing or cutting necessary when you’re eager to start using those stamps and dies! To help you make all those gorgeous flowers and shape them into 3D beauties is this Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit, a complete package with foam pads included and a variety ofย 10 different interchangeable stylus nibs for shaping the petals and blooms. Thisย boxย  has a magnetic closure on the side, with everything fitting neatly inside, which is compact and handy…

When you step inside the Spellbindersโ„ข booth at CHA, it’s as if you’ve travelled back in time into a glamorous, Victorian mansionโ€ฆ.filled with lace and jewelled treasures. These displays were showcases for Spellbinders “A Gilded Life Studio” , a mixed media product line for jewellery making, home decor, embellishments, paper crafts and so forth. ย  ย  A vintage dress form made from dress patterns! Fabulous! Spellbinders also introduced a new collection of Shapeabilitiesโ„ข dies that are trendy and smaller in size, called “In’Spire”โ€ฆ..the anchor, birds on wire, feathers, typewriter etc. The other new Shapeabilities collection is called “Create-A-Flower”, die sets of petals and flower pieces that you build to create beautiful realistic 3D flowers, which I didn’t photograph, but you’ll see on the Spellbinders website and blog in the upcoming weeks. One of the most exciting products newly released by Spellbinders is their new “Tool n’ One”,ย a portable tool that…

I know there are many of us in love with the gorgeous styles of stamps, dies and papers designed by Heartfelt Creations. ย Their booth at CHA was sooo beautiful! I think this paper crafted dress form captures the essence of this wonderful company! Their floral dies areโ€ฆwellโ€ฆto “die” for. ย This is evident on all their projects on display. Their newly released “Majestic Morning” collection includes a paper pack, dies and stamps. ย It’s gorgeous! All collections on display are stunning, actually. You can use Heartfelt Creations products to design scrapbook layouts and paper crafts too! Isn’t this birdhouse fabulous? Seeing this wall of layouts in their booth was inspirational. This layout is one of my favourites! ย How elegant! Valentines and Easter projects were also on display. Honestly, my head was spinning…I’d never seen so many amazing projects on display all in one place! Walking…
