Kim here today! Welcome to another Tuesday With The Team! I’m excited to share my project and technique, it’s a process that I find to be really satisfying and the results keep making me happy! I LOVE making mono prints using my Ranger Gel Plates and all sorts of acrylic paints. I can get lost in creative play for hours during this process and life stress just melts away. When I make my prints, I most often use plain computer paper, the finished page is thin, which I like! I take my favourites and scan them into my computer, this allows me to use them in so many ways. I will often print four to a page on a nice sturdy card stock, they are perfect for card bases! I store them all in a ziplock bag and pull them out often for card making and mixed media projects. Hello everyone, Karen Ellis here. Happy 150th Canada and… Happy 4th to all our American Friends! On May 21 I had the privilege of hosting a CSMLIVE on Facebook. I prepared the Gel Press 5×7 Plate the same way as in the video BUT… instead of pressing the cloth into the plate, I mounted the plate onto…
Hello everyone – Sally Lynn MacDonald here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. I love art journaling – but I really love capturing memories in my journal. The hardest part about keeping a journal is getting started and that is where I’ve come up with a way of getting past the fear of the blank page and freeing myself to create by monoprinting on the blank pages. My favorite travel journal is a landscape watercolor paper journal. I like this journal for the size of and the type of paper inside the journal. To start, I will choose a color scheme that complements the travel theme but doesn’t overwhelm. These are backgrounds, so they need to be somewhat subtle. For my colors I chose: Golden’s Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold (a sunny color!) Golden’s Titan Green Pale (a very light, almost white green) Golden’s Titanium White (pure, bright white) Pebeo’s Iridescent Blue…
