Hey everybody Tracy McLennon here today! I am sharing a layout that I created using all sorts of fabulous product from Core’dinations ColorCore Cardstock. Core’dinations is so much more than just beautiful cardstock. Check out these stunning patterned papers. Here is the layout I created Project Recipe: Core’dinations Tim Holtz Ranger Distress Collection Cardstock Teal Small Dot Patterned Paper Grey Chevron Patterned Paper Teal Quatrefoil Patterned Paper Glitter Prints Inkjet Printable A7 Card May Arts Ribbon Silver and White Baker’s Twine White Pom-Pom White Mesh Close To My Heart Grey Wool Ink American Crafts Thickers – Pink Glitter Letters Unknown tags I love to create a layout with lots and lots of layers. When I am mixing and matching patterns I like to choose designs with contrast. If the patterns don’t have quite as much contrast, but I want them to appear together, I will often mat…

In the world of sticking stuff together, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L has built a solid foundation of products you can trust. There are a number of exciting new releases in the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L booth. The beloved E-Z Runner now has a BIG brother called the E-Z Runner Grand! That’s 150 feet of Permanent strips adhesive runner!! And it easily pops open for refillable cartridges. You will be thrilled to hear about 2 new adhesive runners: Ultra and Micro E-Z Runners. The Ultra is super strong high tack that has instant bond, perfect for adhering 3D projects like boxes.  The micron is a really ‘skinny’ line of permanent strips, that will stick down tiny bits like letters and intricate paper cuts. The Donna Salazar line has expanded with a number of new “Girlie Grunge” releases, which mixed media artists and paper crafters are excited to see.  There is new…

Day 2 of our CHA Review brings us into the Elizabeth Craft Designs booth.  And you are going to “DIE” when you see all these wonderful products! (Hint:  Die Cutting Dreams Ahead!) Looking at the “Susan’s Garden” collection of dies is like stepping into a beautiful real life garden of projects. There are varying die sets that make varying dimensions of so many flowers. I had the pleasure of meeting Susan Tierney-Cockburn, the creative mind behind the stunning floral dies. Did you know about the tiny ladybug that is found in all of Susan’s designs? Karen Burniston is another incredibly talented designer who has a line of well-known 3D interactive die sets. Her Engineering background has produced the fun die sets called “Pop It Ups.” One theme is “Hot Air Balloons.” Jinks the monkey is new and oh so cute, with a coordinating bananas embossing folder! Baker the Beaver is…

Hello everyone – Tracy McLennon here – the newest member of the Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine Design Team! I know it’s not often that someone would come across a violin that they could make pretty. But I will admit that is one of the perks of having a band/music teacher husband that has other music teacher friends. It came up in conversation one night about how sometimes you collect broken and unusable instruments, instead of throwing them away. Then, there was mention of this 3/4 size violin, unusable and ready for the garbage. I put a stop to that! I love to decorate for the holidays! My style is very classic, greens, reds and golds. So I knew what direction I would go with this piece. I started with a light sanding all over, so that the paint would cover a little easier. It took about 3 coats of the cream…

Hi, it’s Connie Nichol here today with a scrapbook layout I created using the November sketch from the Canadian Scrapbooker sketchy challenge  and some of the new Creative Memories products.    A couple of years ago I participated in a hummingbird photography workshop in British Columbia.   It was an absolutely amazing experience and I have enough hummingbird photographs to last me several lifetimes. I used patterned paper from the Creative Memories ‘Brights’ designer paper pack and the Bubbles Border Maker to dress up my paper edges a little bit.  The Creative Memories Border Maker System is very unique – you slide your paper into a positioning guide where it is firmly held by a magnet and then you move a punch cartridge stepwise down the paper edge.  The cartridges are interchangeable so you can easily swap out different cartridges for different borders. To make my picture pop, I used dimensional foam adhesive…
