Pull out your Sizzix Eclips2 There are thousands of different free fonts that are available on the internet and they can be easily installed and cut with the Sizzix Eclips2 using the free Ecal Lite software that comes with the machine. I can see that I will soon need to upgrade the β€˜lite’ software so that I can cut svg files, but that will be the topic of future blog posts. Today I am focused on installing, resizing and welding a font to make a title for a scrapbook page. This blog post isn’t meant to be a comprehensive step by step tutorial but will give you an idea of what is involved. I found it easy and wanted to share my first attempt. I’m sure, like anything else, it will improve with time and practice. If you’re interested, there are some excellent videos on the internet that will guide…

Today we welcome Adel Otto as our guest blogger who designs wonderful scrapbooks with pocket pages. I’m probably a Canadian memory keeper just like you: a dark roast coffee drinker, Netflix voyeur , a teacher, a wife, and a mother to four teenagers. My memory keeping style is “pretty storyteller”, so I like to capture adventures, transformations and celebrations in a lovely, bright and layered way. I can be found sharing on InstagramΒ  aottocafe and at my blog “Studio Latte.” Are you head over heels over pocket pages? Maybe you can’t believe you are finally recording your stories again because of Project Life or you love the Simple Stories Snap albums or Studio Calico Handbook. I had a mad crush on pocket pages for two years before I started adding 12×12’s back into my albums. Even though pocket page spreads provide a lot of options for memory keeping, I often…

Hi everyone Jodi WiltonΒ here today to share with you a fun, summery layout using one of my favourite summer lines this year by Simple Stories!Β  I love all the possibilities with this collection from using them for scrapbook pages, pocket pages, mini’s and cards! Here is the layout I created full of summer fun: I love to layer on my layouts and by using the chipboard stickers, bits & pieces, andΒ  enamel dots; a layout can come together super fast and easy! This layout was create in under an hour!Β  I used Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Foam Squares to give the embellishments some extra dimension too! One of my favourite products from this collection is the Insta-Squares! They are fun small embellishments that can be used for all different projects.Β  For my layout, I added them as a fun embellishment! Thanks for letting me share a little bit of my…

Hello everyone! Β It’s Kelly Klapstein here today to share with you a wonderful product I have discovered. Β Have you heard of Viva Decor Inka Gold? It’s a unique metallic paste that adds beautiful glimmer and shine to your project. Here’s a short informative description I found on the Viva Decor website. “Viva Decor’s Inka Gold is a revolutionary product that produces an amazing metallic finish without any toxic chemicals. With beeswax as one of the main ingredients, Inka Gold is safe and easy to use in all crafting and home decor projects. Just rub it on and polish! Inka Gold comes in 20 brilliant high opacity colors. Chalkboard embellishments are all the rage right now and I love Core-dinations ColorCore cardstocks new Chalk Core Paper for making my own embellishments! I used Core’dinations Color Core cardstock, Spellbinders dies, Clearsnap Izinks, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, Simple Stories stickers, Prima Marketing flowers, Xyron Sticker MakersΒ and Marvy gel pens. I cut out and embossed several shapes from the Chalk Core paper using my dies. To make it easier to sand the very fine cuts I first ran them through my Xyron sticker maker. Leaving the cut out on the backing I then sanded the embossed die cuts making them look like beautiful fine chalk work!! I then added them to my layout over a layer of Clearsnap Izinks. I added a very old, vintage photo of myself that I recently stumbled upon. Many people ask me what they should do differently with their older photos…my answer is nothing, do…

Summer is almost here and that means Sunglasses…. and no one loves them more than my Ashley. I love scrapbooking day to day photos like this. I used: Β Simple Stories patterned paper, tags, and stickers, Sizzix stamps, dies and embossing folders, Clearsnap Surfacez inks, and Stephanie Barnard Sprays, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. I stamped the Sizzix flags onto a Simple Stories card and used the Sizzix co-ordinating dies to cut them out. I love the versatility of this set. I also used a Sizzix embossing folder on two other cards from the same pack and layered them behind my photo to create texture. I love to get as much as I can out of my supplies, so I cut upΒ theΒ border of the Simple Stories alpha sticker sheet into little square stickers and attached them to the page. Happy Summer –Is-Almost-Here Scrapping! To see more of Christy’s work…

I love this style of scrapbooking that really captivates the every day moments, and Simple Stories makes it so easy to do this! For my WEEK 6 spread, I used the collection: HOMESPUN. Here is the left side: I primarily used their 4 X6 cards and 3 X 4 cards and added some stickers and chipboard for extra detail: I even added some stickers on photos to tell the story more: Here is the right side of the layout: So have you ventured into this type of scrapbooking?
