The Winter 2012 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine was filled with wintery, Christmasy ideas AND a fabulous tutorial on how to use Spectrum Noir Markers written by our beloved Christy Riopel. Tuesday with the Team with Christy Riopel featuring Spectrum Aqua Markers, Magenta and Clearsnap

Creating Watercolour Effects with Spectrum Aqua markers distributing by Canuck Crafts by Christy Riopel I love this quick layout that I put together. I used Spectrum Aqua Markers and Watercolour Cardstock, Clearsnap SurfaceZ Ink, Magenta stamps and Stencils. Using the Magenta stencil draw lines inside the openings of the stencil. Spray with water and lift off the stencil. This works so well because the Spectrum Aquas are a waterbased marker. I also used the markers on the edges of my photo matte I added these beautiful Magenta flower stamps using a permanent ink like Clearsnap SurfaceZ ink so that I can spray water over the top after I have coloured them in. It’s amazing how a little water can turn these markers into works of art. Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Nothing is more exciting than new markers!!! I feel like a little kid. Canuck Crafts Spectrum Noir Markers has improved and revamped their alcohol markers. I love the little rubber grips and the bigger ink reservoir…. Yet they are still very reasonably priced. I used these markers to create this great background for my art journal page. I have to confess that I have never taken any formal training in colouring with alcohol markers… I will share my hack way of colouring. 1. I started by stamping this poppy from Stampendous in black Memento ink. 2. I choose 3-5 colours that are in a similar family…from a very light to very dark. Hello everyone – Kim Gowdy here on the blog today! I have a confession. I feel scrapbookers /card makers guilt because I was just NOT on the ball this year when it came to making Christmas cards. Not just making them, I couldn’t seem to get them mailed out either. Some years are just like that. For whatever reason; our time gets pulled away from us and used for other things.
