Kim here today! Welcome to another Tuesday With The Team! I’m excited to share my project and technique, it’s a process that I find to be really satisfying and the results keep making me happy! I LOVE making mono prints using my Ranger Gel Plates and all sorts of acrylic paints. I can get lost in creative play for hours during this process and life stress just melts away. When I make my prints, I most often use plain computer paper, the finished page is thin, which I like! I take my favourites and scan them into my computer, this allows me to use them in so many ways. I will often print four to a page on a nice sturdy card stock, they are perfect for card bases! I store them all in a ziplock bag and pull them out often for card making and mixed media projects. For…

Hello everyone! Cathie Allan here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog. Today, I thought I would share the Make-n-Take, from an event I did with Katharina in Chantilly, Virginia. First I will tell you this was an exceptional event. If you are a paper crafter of any kind you will want to be at their next event.  So many booths, vendors, door prizes, a huge crop and more. Creative Scrapbooker Magazine was there and we met so very many amazing paper crafters, made new friends and shared ideas. Here is the 10-minute make-n-take that the participants did in our booth. We had so much fun creating these speedy little tags, sharing ideas, laughing and giggling together. Once I got home, I took the same ideas and created more tags and a scrapbook page. Yes, I added embellishments from MultiCraft because “why not”, lol. This was a quick idea that…

Hey there everyone! Cathie Allan here today sharing with you one of my articles from the Summer 2016 issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine – Creating Faux Mini-Canvases. I know you are going to LOVE IT! Faux Mini-Canvases by Cathie Allan In this issue, we are going to create “faux mini-canvases.” This special combination of background colours and the way we apply the ink layer after layer will totally have you thinking that we worked on canvas. In reality, we have simply worked on Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock—the cardstock of my inking and rubber stamping dreams. We are using pigment ink—the most light-fast stamping medium there is—so you will be able to enjoy them for a long, long time. I invite you to use the techniques we are stepping out for you today on your favourite craft project—a card, a scrapbook page, a knock-out art journal page or any crafting project…

Hi everyone, Cathie Allan here on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog, with a few, bright, spring projects. SPRING is just around the corner and with the days getting longer , the sun shining brighter I just NEEDED to play with some fun bright colors from Clearsnap and some “spring like” images from Stampendous. I did not know what I wanted to create so I created 3 projects thinking I would share with you my favorite. Well … I could not decide which one was “my favorite” so I am sharing all 3 projects with you. I have photographed each project separately and posted those photos at the end of this blog.It all began with these rubber stamp images from Stampendous, plus a gorgeous new metal stencil.Media of choice was my Pinwheel Petal Point and re-inkers from Clearsnap, my ColorBox stylus and foam tips and a ColorBox black pigment stamp pad…

Once upon a time there was a beautiful stamp that cried out to be used on a project or “6” J.  This “beautiful stamp” came from Impression Obsession and was one of their new releases at “CREATIVATION” which was held in Phoenix in January. This stamp, part of a “geranium series” from Impression Obsession decided to go home with Cathie and she set to work creating “something”. Not really knowing what the project would become, Cathie set about simply altering a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock with her new, stamp and the Poinsettia pigment petal point from Clearsnap. Even though the name of this particular stamp pad “screamed Christmas”, Cathie looked past it and simply saw it also was a great combination of colors for a geranium image. She partnered her stamp with her “Cathie Allan Position-it2”, which is 3 tools in one. This tool can be used with…

Birthday Fishes Card by Kerry Engel A colleague at work was having a special birthday so I decided to make an extra large card that would accommodate numerous greeting from staff (it measured 6×12). I’ve been using my Ranger distress inks to make watercolor backgrounds for my hand lettering and thought it would make a great background for the fish stamps from Heartfelt Creations. I got a bit carried away making fish one Saturday night but it resulted in a very impressive shoal. According to Wikipedia “any group of fish that stay together for social reasons are shoaling and if the group is swimming in the same direction in a coordinated manner, they are schooling”. My fish were swimming in every direction and they looked really social so I’m going with shoal. When I was done I asked my husband, “now what do I do? How am I going to…
