Has anyone else felt a change to the air? My toes have been chilly in the mornings and warm in the afternoons [except today! …they are still cold!] September makes me want to organize my world again, add a bit of routine back to my life and get ready to “hunker” in for the colder months ahead. I must say, I am looking forward to a bit more time in my craft room! I have been sorting through my stash a bit, getting layout plans in my head and thinking about how to organize my stuff. This seems to be an ever-evolving system…two steps forward and one back! Who really knows? After seeing so many wonderful craft rooms, I have to say that organization is NOT a one size fits all system! But from each submission we receive and share for WHERE YOU CREATE we get ideas we never thought…

The Heartfelt Creations booth is like the biggest and most beautiful flower shop in the world! Well-known in the paper craft industry for their gorgeous detailed rubber stamps and matching die sets, the projects on display showcased everything from cards to 3D paper crafts to scrapbook layouts and more! The newest collection “Flowering Dogwood” is so beautiful! It can be used for Easter themed projects and more. Another recent release is “Wildwood Cottage” with adorable fairy themed patterns and images in woods and gardens. It was exciting to see one of our team member’s gorgeous projects on display. Tracy McLennon’s scrapbook layouts are just stunning! To learn more about Heartfelt Creations and be inspired, click HERE to visit their blog and website. The one booth that is sure to make you smile at the tradeshow is Art Impressions. Their stamps have hilarious images and cute caricatures of people and animals that will brighten any card or project. And this year AI is celebrating 30 years in business!! 30 years of making people laugh and smile is a pretty good thing. Probably most well-known for their “Girlfriends” line of stamps, the booth was filled with cheerful, samples of cards that were beautifully coloured. Here are a couple of our personal faves: There are newly released “Get Well” themed stamps too: Valentine stamps and cards were also on display and are so sweet! The Zoo Crew stamp line features hilarious quotes and animals in funny poses: Add some Shakers and Spinners, and you have stamped images that move! So much FUN! One of the newest releases are 3D Stamp sets called POP CARDS so…

Happy Monday my friends! These cuties.. right? The minute I saw this little fox, I had to have the Foxy Friends stamp set and matching fox builder punch.  Little did I know at the time that this bundle could create more than just a fox! The critters created in these two cards were made from this punch.  And believe me, there’s many other cuties you can make. Both of these cards were created with babies in mind.  It must be the cuteness factor.  Often when I have a shower or there’s a new baby arriving, I am scrambling to make a card. Not now. Not today. I started out by checking out the Stampin’ Up! website to see how the fox was supposed to be built. I stamped and punched in different colours until I was happy with my fox.  This is kind of my process for any builder style…

Hi there, Connie Nichol here with a scrapbook page featuring the CTMH Stuck on You stamps and matching thin cuts metal dies. The Stuck on You sets are available in the CTMH seasonal catalogue, but only until April 30, so grab them now before they are gone forever.  The stamps are so darn cute and the matching dies make it so easy to create a whole forest of cacti.  Use them to make a lovely card, or embellish a scrapbook layout.  The cacti are perfect for accenting any photos from a desert location, and I was lucky enough to travel to Phoenix for a few days last year.  I might have taken a few (i.e. hundreds) of photographs at the Desert Botanical Garden when I was there.  I was so happy to see this roadrunner.  Such a neat looking bird.  Unfortunately for me, the roadrunner song from Bugs Bunny and Wile E…

#imbringingbirthdaysback It’s a movement. A movement supported by Shannon West and Stampin’ Up! A movement to make sure that people feel the love on their birthdays with handmade cards. It seems to be a perfect match for me. And certainly I don’t need another excuse to create a card. When Stampin’ Up! released the 2016 Occasions catalogue, I knew that I needed the Balloon Bouquet punch but I didn’t take it out of the package until now… and now I can’t stop playing with them. There are two balloon sizes in this punch. In addition, there’s an even smaller balloon punch with the Party Punch pack. I mean, really… these balloons will never get old. To create this card, I heat embossed several gold balloons from the Balloon Celebration stamp set on watercolour paper. Using my Stampin’ Up! markers and an Aquapainter, I coloured the balloons. After punching them out,…
