Hi, Connie Nichol here today with a quick card using Viva Decor products, plain white cardstock, and a recycled dictionary page. I had a pile of old dictionaries in my craft room to create projects for the next issue of Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. I took a piece of white cardstock, die-cut a heart on the top 1/3 and then added dimension using an embossing folder. I then added colour to the embossed background with Viva Decor 3D stamp paint. This is wonderful stuff. You can stamp with it or use it as a paint to add rich colour and shimmer to your projects. After the purple, I dabbed on a little bit of silver stamp paint. I used Viva Decor Inka Gold, another beautiful shimmery product, to colour my die cut word. MulltiCraft Forever in Time was the starting point for my “Happy Memories” 12X12 scrapbook layout. Who can resist a jar full of flowers? I was feeling a bit playful in my studio and these charming MultiCraft Forever in Time bottles filled with flowers were the inspiration for my whimsical vision. To build my base layer I stamp some Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink on a non-porous surface (plastic sheet) then I spray some water on the ink. After you spray the ink with water you pick up the plastic sheet and dab it onto the paper. I dapped one colour at a time. I like the look of tone-on-tone so using the same colour of Ranger Oxide Inks and the MultiCraft Forever in Time floral stamps I stamp a variety of flowers on top of the background.
