Shaker Cards with Foils by Kerry Engel

Happy Sunday everyone! Kerry Engel here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog creating a shiny SHAKER card. I’m still relatively new to stamping and card making. I tend to go all in and try to use as many products as I can. Thankfully, Therm O Web understands and always has amazing corresponding products that feed my need for “lots of details”. Their Gina K. Designs Premium cardstock has been a game-changer for me; it’s smooth, high-quality finish has helped to elevate my stamping and embossing…and then they have foil – how did I ever create without foil before? Here is how I created this very happy, shiny shaker card: Step 1- STAMP Stamp the sentiment, “Thanks Snow Much”. Stamp and emboss snowflakes with Gina K. Designs Baby, it’s Cold Outside stamps. OMGosh! I am late getting to our Sketchy Challenge this month, but have some fun products to share! I feel the change of seasons in my bones and am already missing lost daylight hours! Thankfully autumn comes with crisp, sunny days that allow us to enjoy the colours of the season. Autumn colour ALWAYS puts a smile on my face! That being said, I used this month’s sketch to celebrate Autumn! I was really pleased with the end result, though it took some messing around to figure out where it was going! I’m really happy with the products I decided to work with, they complement each other well! Echo Park Paper Co.’s Celebrate Autumn collection was used for the paper components of my layout! Twist and Turn those Sketches!

Good Morning everyone! Kim here with a very quick layout share of my take on our June Sketchy Challenge. As you will see, once again I have flipped and rotated the sketch!My layout still only loosely follows the new perspective, but you’ll see how the components of the layout are still there!Echo Park’s Dog collection was the perfect choice for my subject; my ready-to-go chocolate lab Bella! I used MultiCraft’s card stock as my base as well as adhesives from Therm O Web and a Chameleon Color Tones pen aptly named ‘bark’ [though probably as it relates to a tree not a dog-LOL]. We look forward to seeing how you use our monthly sketches from the Sketchy Gallery! We LOVE to share them on social media!

Scrapbook Layout Featuring Therm O Web and Simple Stories

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with a scrapbook layout featuring Therm O Web DecoFoils and Gina K Designs Foil Mates and Simple Stories ‘I Am’ paper line. I had SO much fun playing with the foils and Foil Mates from Therm O Web. My foiled masterpieces paired beautifully with the patterned paper and stickers from Simple Stories I Am collection (which have foiled accents) to create a cute scrapbook layout with a couple of photos of my baby boy. Here are the some of the Therm O Web products I used. I was initially a little nervous, thinking that there might be a learning curve on how to achieve the best results, but oh my goodness, so easy!! All you do is lay a piece of foil over the patterned cardstock or transparency, run it through a laminator, and presto, instant shine! And here’s the Simple Stories I am collection…
