Our design team member, Tracy McLennon, has been having a TON of fun playing with the adorable stamps from Stamp Anniething. Here is one of her creations that totally makes me smile! Tracy designed the background of the card using the Stamp Anniething Bubble Circle Stencil. Along with a variety of Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks. The stamp and die set, from Stamp Anniething, is the Rose Birthday Time set. So cute. Tracy coloured the stamped images using Zig Clean Markers. She added SPARKLES to some of the background circles using Ranger Stickles. And finally, she adhered everything down using a variety of adhesives by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L. Such a cute little card for the cute little person in your life! Have a super duper Tuesday friends! ! Join me in the Village of Inspired People
Welcome back, crafty friends! Tracy McLennon here, and today I have a pretty little Spring-inspired butterfly layout to share featuring Pink & Main, Ranger, Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, Kelly Creates and Chameleon Color Tone Pens. Here are all of the nitty-gritty details. Start by cutting down the Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock cardstock to 11×11. Mat your 4×6 photo in white cardstock and add Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Black Creative Photo Corners. Using a blending tool and Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks (Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet, Worn Lipstick), create small blended circles diagonally across the 11×11 cardstock. Using Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink again (Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron) and the Pink & Main silhouette butterfly image stamp, stamp 3 images around where your photo will be in the middle of the layout. Using Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Sprays, splatter colour across the layout diagonally. Let dry…
I have completely fallen in love with Kerry Engel’s martini greeting card! How fun is this beautiful little creation. I can think of a few girlfriends who would get a real giggle out of receiving this card. To create the background Kerry followed these basic steps 1. On a piece of Creative Scrapbooker Super Stock, blend Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks. 2. Spritz with water and watch the oxide effect. 3. Gently pat a Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Adhesive sheet onto the base – only part of the adhesive will sit down. 4. Sprinkle with Ranger embossing powder and heat set! Here is a complete list of supplies that Kerry used. Hi there! Nathalie DeSousa with you today sharing my first blog post as part of the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine team. I am very humbled and excited to share a bit of my work with you all, so what better way to show you my style than to create a 12×12 scrapbook page that combines a bit of mixed media and the beautiful Bliss Collection from Simple Stories. All those beautiful and soft colors in the collection are perfect to document spring and new beginnings, so I pulled a cut file from the Silhouette library, and backed it with papers from the collection. To add dimension to this page, some Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares were used to attach the cut out to the background. A bit of distressing on the top edge of the page provided the perfect place to add a small cluster of embellishments. Some of the floral motifs…
What an absolute treat it was to have Els Van de Burgt from Elizabeth Craft Designs on our web show Technique Tasters #113 – Creating Backgrounds for Cards. Els is the owner of Elizabeth Craft Designs and has been creating, teaching and spreading the love of paper crafts for years. On today’s show Els pulled out a number of her very own products including cardstock, dies, stamps and adhesives. Along with Tim Holtz for Ranger oxide inks and Sakura Pigma Micron PN pens to create this beautiful card. Oxide Ink Effect The cool oxide water effect you see in the background is all the rage right now. It looks rather intimidating, however, as you watch the video you will discover that it is really rather simple to create and fool proof! The other cool fact about this technique is that NO two creations look the same. Products Used To create…
I have wanted to create this layout for some time. This photo was the inspiration. The young man on the left hand side is my Dad, and is you look closely he’s holding a bunny in his ball glove. I am so glad that I waited until I had the Tim Holtz for Ranger Distress Oxide Inks to play with. Here is how I added the rust like colouring to the background and the largest rusty photo mat. I used watercolour paper and Ranger Distress Oxide Inks to create this rust like background. To do this you need a non stick craft mat. Stamp the ink directly onto the craft mat, spray with water and mix with your fingers. Then dip the paper into the ink/water mixture. Dry with a heat gun. Then do the same with the next colour of ink. Dry again with a heat gun. Do the…

Hi crafters, Nicole here from Nicole Wright Designs and I have a fun DIY Tutorial on Journaling with your Sizzix dies. Follow me through the process and try some of these fun techniques on your next project! Night Dreamer is my newest pages in my first art journal. I know I keep saying how much I am enjoying journaling because it’s true! It all started with my pages I gessoed black. At first this was a great idea, then I felt it was a bad idea… then I went with it and I was beyond happy with it. After the pages were painted all black I went back over with white gesso to create a hill effect and road Colouring with various Ranger green distress crayons for shading and lighting. The sky has shades of blue and violet. The cityscape is inked with Ranger Distress Oxide ink and run through my Creative…
