Hello, dear Creative Scrapbookers! I am Jayme Loge –Β  a writer for Creative Scrapbooker Magazine and I am delighted to provide some inspiration for you today as I play with my Ranger Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink Yupo Paper and Alcohol inks! I was at the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival in Edmonton last weekend, immersed in all kinds of inspiration. There were many things that piqued my creative interest, with all the creative people, stores, classes and make and takes, and I am going to share one thing that I’ve created since coming back home. Ranger Tim Holtz Alcohol ink Yupo paper and alcohol inks were at the top of my list to play with, and I had a lot of fun creating some simple cards with cool alcohol ink backgrounds. I loved the celestial feel of the color palette I worked with and thought this sentiment was perfect! I simply…

Hello crafty friends! Tracy McLennon here and I’m hoping these beautiful summer months are treating you as well as they are me, in my neck of the woods. Just because it’s summer, doesn’t mean I don’t stop creating. But these days I’m usually crafting on rainy days or later at night. Today I am sharing with you a Heritage Layout featuring Stampers Anonymous. I have been on a kick lately of creating heritage layouts. I just love creating using a vintage colour palette and using heritage family photos that I am lucky enough to have access to. Here are the details. I created a stamped border using all of those stunning vintage Ornate Trims stamps from Stampers Anonymous using Ranger Walnut Stain Distress Ink and brown embossing powder. I love a layout with lots of layers and texture, and this layout is no exception. I double matted my 4×6 photo…

Hi Friends and welcome to theΒ  Β Creative Scrapbooker Magazine blog.Β It is Karan Gerber here on the blog today with a school layout featuring 49 and Market. When I was thinking about what I wanted to create for you, I thought of the days when my boys went to school. It seems like so long ago.Β  We are in the month of June and I am sure many of you will be looking for ideas for your school photos. so I have created a masculine school layout using the Mini Old School Collection from 49 and Market. To begin with, I am using a photo of my oldest son from 2013, this is his Grade 12 photo which measures 3.5 x 5, I cut 4 photo mats from other papers in this collection begins with a 3.75 x 5.75 and each photo mat was 1/4 inch larger than the last, I…

Its Karan Gerber here to host the blog andΒ  I am here to share with you a masculine layout I designed based on the newΒ Laser Cut Frame SetsΒ fromΒ 49 and MarketΒ with papers from theΒ Bold and Beautiful Collection. Here is a peek at what I will be creating for you today: To begin with, we will be using two sheets of the whispers paper; a set of the Laser Frame Set #3 insert whispers image here We will be using two of the above papers to create our background, one using the reverse image and the second we will be cutting a 5.25” x 10.5” making sure to incorporate the detailed brick in the pattern. When you cut the second sheet, ink the edges with Weathered Wood Distress ink from Ranger. Here is what the frame set looks…

Welcome to March…Pam Bray here today on the Creative Scrapbooker Magazine Blog creating a fun little mixed media tag. Time to start creating and what better way but to grab some Tim Holtz fabulous products to create with! I am sharing a tutorial on how easy the Ranger Distress Oxides are to use along with Sizzix Dies and Stampers Anonymous Stamps to “create” a mixed media tag! Begin by die cutting a Sizzix Tag and Book Plate from white cardstock and chipboard. Apply Wild Honey to craft mat; spritz with water and drag white cardstock through the mist. Dry. Repeat with Picked Raspberry and again with Crackled Pistachio to create background paper. Remember to dry between applications. Die cut prepared cardstock using one of the dies from Sizzix Mixed Media #5 Die Set. Adhere pattern paper to the top of chipboard. Adhere prepared background to top of prepared chipboard. Stamp…

This weekend I pulled out a paper stack from Paper House Productions – Field Study – and scrapbooked a few photos from harvest 2016. I thoroughly enjoy paper stacks. They are easy to store, tons of coordinating papers and with Paper House Productions, they also include a sticker sheet that is also sealed in the binding. I love that! Here is a very simple layout that I created. A little fun element on my layout is the birch stencil in the background. I laid the stencil down and applied transparent texture paste.Β  When the texture pasted dried I wasn’t happy with the slight watermark color.Β So I painted it black.Β  Definitely, an easier way to get this texture is to simply add the black paint to the texture paste! Save a tedious painting step! Next time (LOL) SUPPLIES Paper House Productions Patterned Paper Paper House Productions Stickers and Washi Tape Ranger…
